Dinner at Whispering Canyon?

I was wondering what the CM's do during dinner at Whispering Cayon? I have heard they interact with the guests, but other then that I have not heard aything specific. We have two dd's, 10 and 6 and thought they would love something like that. If anyone has had dinner there I would love to hear about it. Thanks

I asked for a large ice water... got a two gallon bucket full of ice water with an extra long straw... and an announcement not to block my way to the restroom.

Nephews got straws... and straws... and straws... and straws. The kind you can blow the paper off of.

Nephew asked for ketchup... kids from another table brought him about 10 bottles.

Kids had races around the room on stick horses.

One 'tween boy got super embarassed... two girls sang happy birthday to him... I think he's scarred for life.

Other silly things that just made things fun. If you don't mind loud and don't embarass easily, it can be a great meal.

a personal fave (I still chuckle) was when a server yelled out to everyone in the restaurant to be quiet when she saw someone talking on a cell phone.

i loved the place. my DH and 3 DD's DID NOT. DD7 got all uspet when the server commented on how she was (or was it wasn't?) eating her macaroni. make sure you take the right kind of people with you or you won't have fun.

I've heard you can be seated in an area where the CMs won't do the antics. They just serve the meal. I'm doing that when I go.

You can always sit there and see what it's like. Have an appetizer (if available). Watch for a while. If you like it and they'd do it ask to be reseated in the main area.

When the waiter brought our drinks he threw a bunch of napkins at us.

A lot of people had napkin hats too (the napkins are bandanas) with straws sticking out of them.

All the men had to go to the middle of the room to do something - not sure what - I saw this while I was in the lobby waiting for dh to bring the car around!!

We also saw the horse races, straws being thrown at us, waiters yelling at everyone to be quiet while someone was on the phone (the person on the phone had no clue the whole time).

We were not in the mood for the shenanigans (my 2 dd's were so hungry & just wanted to eat) but we would go back now that we know what to expect!!

I did not get to go but did hear from the lobby a waiter was yelling out "Kevin's" visa number for everyone to copy down then told everyone to thank "kevin" so they could shop. It sounded hilarious and I can't wait to eat there.

If you want to participate in the "antics", be sure you ask to sit in the main dining room. We were seated in another room (I think I've heard it called the library) which is practically in the lobby. Our server, Bobby the Kid, was great but we were definitely out of the action.

we loved it they made us hats, and had us ride pony sticks we loved it
my mom was sick one day so we ate there without the antics she was sick and they made her cooked to oder homemade cheicken soup on 2 different occassions and even said they would have delivered to her room

Two friends of ours who just got back went there--. The gentleman was made to get up, stand in line with 3-4 other men, and do a 'Teapot" dance.
(The one "I am a Teapot ,this is my spout", etc etc)
