ok, i do NOT want to cook dinner. don't want to do the buffets, so what else is my options? I checked menus at all-ears..but what I could find ala cart is only for lunch. suggestions?

I highly suggest crockpot meals. It is super easy and you can search here for some threads with some different options. You just put it all in and turn it on. Go to the parks or whatever and come back in 6-8 hours for a meal ready to eat. We always do this and there are any number of great ideas. We use crockpot liners also so there is no cleanup, just pull the liner out and throw away.

Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner options are only a boat ride away. You could catch the boat at the Marina and try Wilderness Lodge or the Contemporary. If you go one step further and hop the monorail, you could try Grand Floridian cafe or Kona Cafe in the Polynesian. Check Allears menu choices for these places and make meal time an adventure with just a little travel away from the Fort.

Unfortunately there aren't many options at FW for dining. We either drive somewhere. Or take a boat to WL or CR. Or take a boat to CR and monorail to PR to eat.

I'm cooking ahead, vacuum-packing, and freezing. Dirty rice, spaghetti, chili, stew, anything that can be microwaved. In the morning I'll take out whatever we decide to thaw and when we get in it'll get popped in the micro & eaten on paper plates or bowls.

I don't consider that 'cooking' since there usually isn't much to clean up afterwards.

I love using our crockpot, and especially making the 3 packet roast. but i never thought of using a liner! thanks for the heads up. will make clean up so much easier!!

I have learned I don't want to cook or clean up. I stock up on paper plates and cups and bring snacking dinners. We tend to eat out for lunch and don't need a lot of heavy dinners. Often we are going back to the park and want to leave room for a snack there too. So I bring hummus and pita, cans of tuna or chicken and mayo for tuna or chicken salad, cheese and crackers, lots of baby carrots and celery sticks. This trip, we are going to bring some hard boiled eggs and definitely pb and j. There are always some nights we buy dinner but having some light options that are very low effort will make it easy. Most things are also non perishable so if we don't use them, they can go home and into my pantry.

One of our favorite things for an easy dinner is get the giddy up and go from trails end and grab a table at the marina and have dinner while watching the boats come and go. You get 10 pieces of chicken with sides and it is good food. You will have left overs too.

I don't think the pizza from trails end is horrible, but not my favorite either. We usually do the same with that. You can also have pizza delivered to the front, if you have a golf cart that is an option. There is a topic somewhere by BamaEd that talks about this, do a search.

Hope this helps.

There are dinner options at the Trails End take out. BAD pizza and great fried chicken.

If you are a pizza fan, I highly recommend :thumbsup2 Giordano's out on Apopka Vineland Dr. right outside Hotel plaza Blvd. We eat there at least once every trip. We mail ordered 4 for New Years Day.
