I just booked flights so we are officially going to Universal in Nov! Yay! I've been sitting on a reservation for Portofino Bay just in case. It'll be our first time staying there (we've been big RPR fan). We'll get there around 7 pm on Fri and I'm trying to decide where we should eat. The restaurants are all … well … Italian. I don't see much in the menus that distinguish them. So which is the favorite or what distinguishes them? We have 3 kids (7, 9, 11) if that helps.

So excited!

quite honestly I found them to be all more alike than not. the pizza is decent though. we actually almost never ate on the property when we stayed there.. we did most of our meals in the parks or Citywalk.

As far as Italian food goes they are all less than average. Bice would be the best of the bunch.

I found it strange that they are all so similar. I get that the resort theme is Italian but RPR found a way to theme their restaurants so they could have different food styles.

Unfortunately, CityWalk has not worked well for dinner for us. We've never had less than an hour wait and most places don't take reservations at night so it's just not a good option for us for our first night there. Maybe I'll make a reservation for Jakes and we can hop a boat. Or is there a good restaurant at HRH?

you should get priority seating at several locations, including Cowfish. when do you typically eat dinner? we tend to do so early so there is rarely a wait for us.

I was told by a hostess that it was because we are a party of 5 that priority seating doesn't buy us much. We usually eat around 6 but Won't get to the resort until 7 on the night we arrive so it'll probably be busier at CW with parks about to close. It looks like Bob Marleys is taking reservations at night though so we might do that.
