so I finally found a reservation at Ohana for 3:50 So I have been reading about the kids running with the coconuts And that the restaurant is very loud. Our dinner will be adults only will it be real loud and crazy or is it not that bad.Worried about noise level we just want a nice place to eat.Anybody who has been there please let me know.
Thanks Leslie

Not sure about everyone else but I dont find it loud or crazy. It's awesome to see the kids having a fun time. I could be wrong but I think they do something with the adults also. hopefully someone can elaborate on that. I remember my wife getting up and learning some dance.

You will have a great time. It's our favorite place to eat. Enjoy

Unless you're really set on the food at 'Ohana I'd choose a different spot for dinner. Citrico's at GF is really nice, Yachstman Steakhouse at Yacht Club is also nice.

Skip it. It's loud and the parade of kids was enough to send me over the edge (we were seated along the parade path and were constantly bumped and hit).

This was my exact experience as well. 'Ohana is a pass for me.

It's a pass for us as adults. Maybe we're just getting old. Many better options for a civilized meal.

So do you think there will be a lot of kids in early May and our reservation is for 3:50 my sister wants to do it but I think it might be loud and I don’t know how the guys will like loud kids now that we are old lol

We were there last week (2/19), and had a 5:10 reservation. We were seated a little early. There was no coconut race at all while we were there, which was at least an hour. Come to think of it, when we were there last year, they didn't have the races either, and we had a later reservation then. So, maybe they only do them a couple of times a night???

There definitely was a level of ambient noise, but other than one upset toddler, the kids around us were all well-behaved and quiet enough. It honestly wasn't any more chaotic or loud than any of the other restaurants we ate in, both on property and off.

My DH and I really like 'Ohana, but we quickly learned to request a table not on the aisle. Since we have done that, we have gotten great tables near the windows and you don't even really notice the kids games in the aisle.

We were at Ohana for dinner in January and there were no races or games or parades. It's as loud as any other large restaurant. I really enjoyed it and definitely would go again!

I was there in early February this year, on a Thursday night at 7pm. We were seated in the area near Tambu Lounge, and it was fairly quiet over there. The strolling male singer was there with his ukulele, and I didn't hear any coconut races going on in the hour we were there.

Pass as adults. The food isn't anything to write home about.

Even with kids it was a one and done for us.

The past couple of times we've been there we haven't seen any coconut races; just the ukulele player. Its always just the 2 of us (adults) and we never found it noisier than any of the other restaurants on property.

We go a lot. I usually request either a window seat or quiet area if possible. This past Feb we went and they could not place us there without a longer wait.(we had a later reservation time than usual) So, we ended up at a table for 2 right by an aisle where most of the activity was going on, actually right where the races and so on starts. I will say it was loud and lots of activity, but no one was on top of us. We really did not mind like I thought we would, plus after it happens there are breaks in btw where it was not as hectic. But, I would just suggest making a request when you check in for a quiet area especially by a window, so you have a magical view. The windows seats are set in the back. You are going earlier, so you have a good chance. Just know that no matter where you sit 'Ohana is not a quiet place, but it is a good time and we enjoy it.

It's for sure not a quiet, relaxed restaurant. Even early in dinner service it's going to be filled with kids (maybe more so early than late at night?). We love it and our kids love it so it's a must do every trip, but if I was there with a group of adults wanting a more peaceful meal, I'd go somewhere else.

Food is just not good.
Tables are on top of each other and the service is quick because they want to get you in and out.
No reason to eat here.
I don't understand all the hype.
Indeed if social media didn't exist (talking about how difficult this place is to get into) I don't think it would ever be full!

We love O’hana. My husband and I went in November. Just request a table by the window and you should be fine. They had the parade while we were there and it was no biggie.

When we were there in December we ate our entire meal and they only did the children's coconut run once in about the 90 mins we were there.
