Anybody tried it lately ? What kind of wait was involved ? What do you think my chances are of getting in during September ? Just called -- all booked up for my dates already.

We were just there 2 weeks ago and had ADR's. Hostess was telling everyone they were completely booked through July! We had ADR's all week, and Le Cellier was the only restaurant that we had to wait until after our ADR time to get a table.

Most everyone agrees that since Le C has become a 1TS on the DDP, its popularity has soared making walk-ups difficult. But, it all depends upon timing which is something that is hard to gauge. You may show up on a Tuesday and be out of luck as a walk-up while someone else arrives the next night and gets lucky. All that being said, I'd peg your chances as maybe 1 out of 10 at best. While we were there three weeks ago, I personally witnessed the CMs turn away folks at the door who were trying to do a walk-up. Essentially, if you didn't have an ADR, they didn't even let you get to the front desk. Sorry if this is bad news, but the DDP has made for tenuous times for spontaneous dining anymore.

People are reporting that they are actually booked through the beginning of October. It's unlikely that any walk-ups will be taken. We called last week for September 14th and only two time slots were left...we grabbed one. I'm sure it's completely full now.

Really, your best bet is to hope that someone cancels. Keep trying to call and because you never know if someone will cancel on your day!

You stand a better chance of getting in if you're a party of 1 or 2. We ate there during a very crowded week and watched several people being turned away from Le Cellier ... except for one lucky lady and her husband, because there were just two of them.

FWIW we lucked into a 4 pm seating this March due to a cancellation at which time the CM told us how lucky we were as Le Cellier is usually booked up 6 months out. So, keep tying to get lucky, but we'll be calling starting on Sept. 2 for our March 2007 trip.

Yep, if you REALLY want to get in.
Check every morning at the park's guest services (doesn't matter which one).
I got one just by chance this past may. Everything was booked up for that day except for table for 2 late in the evening (8:45pm).
I wasn't picky so I took it.

Moral of the story, try every day while you're there. You never know.

We were there the first week of October last year...and zillions of folks were turned away in the evening. They did not have an ADR. I was so glad we made one before leaving home otherwise we wouldn't have had one of the most wonderful meals of our trip!!

Try Linner (that time after lunch but before dinner). They may be able to accomodate you. If not, there are many better restaurants in EPCOT for the trying.

I would keep trying for a cancellation....everytime we have been though, the CM's are advising walkups they are booked solid.

previous posters are right on. I tried to get a reservation for the 14th of September as well for dinner. I was told I could get 8:45. With 3 year old, not possible. Also, we would be at two separate tables if I wanted any other time. Now, since there are only 3 of us, and one of them is 3, not really an option. I booked lunch instead.

thanks again everybody for confirming my suspicions ... just so everyone knows, I was calling this morning for a ressie at LC on Sept 25 or 26 and told absolutely no openings on either of those 2 nights

What's funny is...I called a couple of weeks ago for ADRs for dinnertime on July 9th. The CM offered us a number of available time slots during that time. We got a 6pm! A little early for some, but great for us because we tend to eat a good breakfast, snack through lunch and have a TS dinner. Plus, then we can make it out in time for Illuminations!

I'd say try calling back from time to time...even the night before or morning of. People often cancel as their touring plans change. If not, try taking the monorail over to Contemporary for the Concourse Steakhouse. We have ADRs there for another night since we heard that it was very good and highly underrated!

Good luck!
