We are staying in the Kadani Village of the AKV for the first time. Usually stay at the hotel side. Would like to try dinner here our first night. What's it's like, any comments/thoughts/what you eat/etc.

The only restaurant at Kadani Village is Sanaa. I've only eaten there once, but I really enjoyed the food, though I did find service to be slow. If you like Indian food, you'd probably like it.

Bread service at Sanaa is incredible! We let the server narrow down our choices for us and we've loved her suggestions. Would have never selected pickled garlic on our own.:thumbsup2

We loved Sanaa! We had excellent service, and our food all seemed to come out quickly (our app came out right away). We both thought that it tasted more like a signature restaurant quality of food, so it was well worth it for us!

I really enjoyed my dinner there in December, and that's probably saying a lot because I do not like strong Indian curry aromas. I found the sustainable fish was flavorful and not strong in curry like the menu items that featured red and green curry sauces.

If you love Indian curries, those curry dishes would probably satisfy you. But I'm here to say that even those of us who don't enjoy that can find something on the menu that is fantastic.

We tried it for the first time last month and enjoyed it. The servings were huge though.

Sanaa is awesome. I've been there twice, it's really well-prepared, unique food, and you have great views of the animals on the Savannah. Definitely order the bread service!

Ate at Sanaa and loved it in January. Not only is the restaurant's menu interesting and full of delicious choices, but the restaurant bar is nice and staffed with friendly and talkative bartenders. Highly recommended.

By the way, the restaurant bar serves the full appetizer and dessert menu until midnight. Just an FYI.

We went in Nov. for dinner 1st and liked it so much went back at Lunch. Our server was very attentive to us and my boys really enjoyed him at dinner. Our lunch server was also good. The food was very good both times and it was fun at lunch to sit by the windows.

Hi! I'm going to Kidani in August...can anyone tell me what the kids menu is like?

Our family ate at Jiko last year and we were a little over powered by the spices (I think it was Jiko---buffet in AKL??). Do you think we'd like Sanaa??

TIA!

You must be thinking of Boma because Jiko is a sit down TS, Boma is the buffet. My little one I think got a hamburger - think its pretty standard. Sanaa is spicy but they will work for you to find less spicy things.

yes, you're right! It was Boma.

DH and I enjoy trying new things and don't mind the spices as much. But the little ones want something "normal!"

Thanks!

I absolutely LOVE Sanaa:love:

I'll be there 2 weeks from right now! I have dinner ressies there @ 7:05 pm on Wed 7/21:banana:

I think it will be my 10th time eating there.

Had some apps. and cocktails for a mid-afternoon snack at Sanaa during our last stay at AKV but did not have dinner at Kidani. Looked at the dinner menu but ended up dining at Boma for dinner. Enjoyed Boma but will most likely try Sanaa or Jiko during our next visit. I don't think you can go wrong with any of the dining options at AK.:cool1::banana:
