We're looking to try some new places to eat on this trip. There will be 7 of us (DH, me, DD13, DD9, BIL, FSIL, and FSIL's DD8). The HOB menu looks good on allears.net and their HOB website.

What do you think of the food here?
What do you order that's good?
How are the prices?
Would you need a reservation?
Is it always crowded?

Thanks in advance!

The only bit of information I can offer is that it was crowded there, but we didnt have to wait very long for a table, maybe 5 minutes tops, but also we were there in November, not sure if that made a difference or if its always like that, also, the food was GREAT the kids were happy (6 and 11) I was happy, and my DH was happy which is really rare for all of us to be happy. My DH also commented that his steak there was one of the best hes ever had....

That being said he wants to make sure we eat there every time we go to Disney, so im gonna take that as a sure fire sign that he liked it.....ALOT!

lol good luck and enjoy your trip! :)

The food at HOB is good.

We've ordered various meals, and all were very tasty. They only thing here that I'm not crazy about is their gumbo. It's not bad gumbo.....it tastes okay.....but out of the three main places that serve gumbo (Jazz Kitchen, Blue Bayou, and HOB), the gumbo at the HOB is my least favorite. (The gumbo at the Jazz Kitchen is AWESOME!) Anyway, the food here is very good, and the drinks are good too.:thumbsup2

Prices - hmmmmm, I don't remember what the prices were. I think typical DTD restaurant prices, so expect it to be a little expensive. Allearsnet.com should have the prices listed on the menu. Also, you can often find 10% off coupons for the DTD HOB online (like on the official Anaheim visitors center website, or something like that).

It is a popular place to eat and drink, so it can get crowded at times. I would make a reservation just to be safe.::yes::

I am totally sorry but I just realized that I was talking about somewhere completely different! I was thinking of Ralph Brennans Jazz Kitchen...please excute my ramblings!!!!

:flower3:

It can get PACKED, but that's usually upstairs where the concerts are held, and deff would be a book in advance for that. You're only dining so should be ok. I do need to update when I called to book arrival night dinner there disney dining said they no longer take PS for after 5:30, so it's walk up only after. I have been to the main HOB they call it in New Orleans. The food was good at that one I wouldnt say brennons cajun good, but good. The decor is very much blues themed. It's on par to some other themed ones like it Hard Rock just with blues, and soul food.
