so we have most of our meals planned for our trip in EIGHT DAYS!:yay::woohoo::banana::yay: but i would like for at least one night for us to have a nice dinner (but not so expensive, we're on a budget!) what are some good restaurants that are good but don't cost an arm and a leg? it is only the dbf and i!

Cafe Orleans is good; I've enjoyed all the things I've tried from the menu, and it's not nearly as expensive as Blue Bayou.

Cafe Orleans is right outside of Pirates right? Do you know of a place that has good soup?

I believe Cafe Orleans has French Onion Soup and Gumbo.
Another place that is not too expensive is Carnation Cafe on Main St. Excellent Baked Potato Soup!
And if you're looking for soup, but not at a sit-down, go Pacific Wharf Cafe in DCA. I love, love, love thier Broccoli Cheese Soup in a Bread Bowl!!!!!

Oh, YES...Cafe Orleans has such good soup! I'm partial to the gumbo, but the French onion soup is yummy as well. Yes, it is right outside of Pirates.

Carnation Cafe does have delicious baked potato soup! Sometimes it's not open for dinner, though, so be sure to check ahead of time!

My favorite soup place in Pacific Warf Cafe in DCA. Corn chowder is spicy and good!

oo that sounds yummy. =) I keep reading about these lobster nachos at cove bar, how much are those? i don't know if dbf would eat them but i would like to give them a whirl!

I would also suggest Carnation Cafe - it is a charming little place and the people watching is great. I think Wine Country Trattoria would be an excellent idea as well. Another idea - though this is a little bit more expensive than Carnation or WCT - would be a dinner at Storytellers Cafe in the GCH. It is a warm, earthy, cozy sort of atmosphere and the food is good. Naples in DTD is a good place to go as well.

We have eaten at almost every restraunt in the park. We have enjoyed all of them. Theres a small little cafe on main street, sort of hidden. I cant remember the name of it to save my life! But its towards the middle, nice place to sit and rest and good food. The Cafe in New Orleans is nice to, they sometimes have Clam Chowder soup also. Almost all the dining places are nice and enjoyable.

I would vote for Cafe Orleans! Wine Country Trattoria and Carnation Cafe are close seconds! :goodvibes

lolll i don't know! but I think i have decided on carnation cafe, haha. or something inside of DCA! But we are definately going to be sitting at the table by the water eating a cookie boat at BB. :thumbsup2:goodvibes:woohoo:

This is Carnation Cafe. :) CC has the BEST Baked Potato Soup, I want some even tho it's 100+ degrees right now! :rotfl: You should call Disney Dining to make sure they will be open late and to scheduled a PS for this tho.

CO has really good French Onion soup and the Gumbo is the same as the Gumbo at BB. YUM!!!!!

There is also Pacific Wharf as was mentioned previously, every time we've tried to eat there tho the lines are HUGE!!!!! HUGE and insane! There is also a little bread bowl place by Pieces of Eight across from CO, not sure what it's called but thought I'd mention it. :)
