This year my family and I are having dinner at Crystal Palace. Now we love CP, food has always been and the character interation is great, but we have always done breakfast. My mom is not an adventurous eater, but as she puts it, 'you can not mess up breakfast'. Anyway, as are doing the dining plan and needed another table service, my mom said she wouldn't mind doing CP. I asked her what she thought about doing lunch or dinner. She had me go online and check out the menu and she decided, iif nothing else, she could eat off the kid's bar. So we booked a dinner at CP, which I personally have always wanted to try (and we're doing breakfast there another day as well!)

So anyone who has been there for dinner, tell me what the food is like? I have always enjoyed our time there and my 2 year old son loves it as well. Ws go to Crystal Palace every trip.

I love it! There is a little bit of "fancy" food... "normal" food... and just like my DH would do... the Children food. :)

Don't forget the desserts! :cool1:

There is salad, many different fresh fruit and veggies, different breads, a few pasta salads all of which sound safe.

The childrens area usually has Mac and Cheese in half and Chicken Nuggets in half i think. I remember something else once but I can't think of it now.

The rest of the food is a bit...all over the place. I usually get a little of the fresh carved meats and then stick to the kids area and pasta salad.

That being said it's my favorite buffet to do.

I think they also have cheese pizza and some kind of vegetable (corn or green beans?)

I know at 1900 Park Fare, I couldn't find any plain chicken (it had a sauce on it) so I asked if it was possible to get just a chicken breast without anything on it. The CM was able to get me one fairly easily.

a few years since we have eaten dinner at CP. There is such a variety of food. Vegetarians wouldn't have a problem finding a full meal with the various salads and vegetable sides offered. I really liked the pork adobo, salmon and prime rib although I have read they downgraded the beef offering.

It's not on our list for our upcoming trip because we are doing some new restaurants but I wouldn't hesitate going.

We go to Disney every year.. I have done so for the past 20 years. Since my son was born, we have added CP to our MUST list. Great variety and the Characters are very attentive. CP and Hollywood and Vine are my son's favorites but the food at H&V leaves much to be desired,

We really enjoyed Crystal Palace for dinner! I am a vegetarian, my daughter (age 5) is a little picky, and my husband is a big meat and potatoes guy.

There is so much variety -- everyone had a great meal. There were a few "unusual" items, but also plenty of typical items if you are not in the mood to try something new. We're going back for sure!

Have a great trip!

My favorite of all the character meals, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. It's you typical buffet nothing too fancy, with carved meats. Salads, sides, potatoes, casseroles. I don't think anyone would go hungry from this restaurant. Yummy desserts.

I really liked the pork adobo, salmon and prime rib although I have read they downgraded the beef offering.

Well that figures, since I made an ADR for dinner there for the prime rib. Oh well, at least I know everything else will be good, and hopefully whatever beef they serve now will be as well.

I worked at the CP when I did the college program about 6 years ago. That being said, I have eaten their food numerous times (and always go back when I'm in Disney)! I think you will really enjoy the food--there is something for everyone! Even very pickey eaters! :goodvibes Enjoy!
