Ok...so I only have 109 more days to go until we leave (yipee). I have to start thinking about where we are going to eat and start making my PS arrangements. I was thinking about having dinner in Cindy's Castle, but I have read that it is quite expensive and the food is only ok at best.

Please give me your opinions. I would love to have the chocolate mousse slipper, but if that is the only thing that is good there, I can skip it.

Any help would be great. Thank you. :earboy2:

We are eating there June 16th, so I will post a review after that. Hopefully someone can let you (and me) know if the food is good. I am just guessing that it is.

We just had dinner at Cindy's last week and it was the best meal of our trip!!! Yes it is expensive but IMO it was well worth it (but we also had the dining plan so money wasn't a issue). You get these pretzel rolls with mustard butter to start. I had the spring roll app. and loved it, my dh had the ceasar salad app and it was good too. We both ordered the prime rib and it was cooked perfect. I had the white chocolate mousse slipper for dessert and it was great!!!
My two ds's split a kids meal (they are only 3 and 11 months) and had extra.
The only bad part about it was the rude waitress- Shelley.

For us, I think the ambience makes up for the pricing. We always do CRT for our trips, but I do think the food is only OK/good; I've rarely been blown away by it. Try it once for the ambience, it's pretty cool!

We had dinner at the castle in 2001, and our food was excellent. DH had the prime rib and I had the filet mignon, and it melted in my mouth! I forget what DSs had, but they enjoyed their meals as well. We loved the ambiance and the service.

We'll be dining at the castle again for dinner in 42 days! :sunny: I cannot wait to try the slipper dessert! princess:

We had Mother's Day dinner there 2 weeks ago, we had the beef fillet, it was excellent. It is expensive though, with tip it was $77, with 2 entrees and 2 soft drinks. No appetizer or dessert.

I would definitely recommend it. We are going back in July and I have CRT breakfast ressies. Tried 3 years ago when we last went and failed, but this time we are in and very excited. We did have dinner in the castle on our last trip and I thought it was wonderful. Yes, it is expensive. Don't know if you have the MYW dining plan or not. All I can say is that the meal was wonderful, tasted wonderful, presentation wonderful, they make you feel like royalty. I remember enjoying my meal with my husband and kids and thinking this is WDW at it's best. The castle is WDW! Hope you give it a try.

I just made me 90 days out reservations for CRT yesterday. We have the dining plan and I am really looking forward to trying the slipper dessert. For me its all about dessert. :smooth: I have heard some good things in the past though about the food, but I think its the ambiance that is really drawing me there. :) We are going on the first night of our vacation. I think it will be a nice way to start the trip. Hope you have a good vacation.

We ate at the castle last week for dinner and, I must say, it was the best meal of our trip. I had the airline chicken over a savory bread pudding that was to die for. My mom had the prime rib which she said was the best she's ever had. I can't remember what everyone else had but we all agreed it was fabulous. The appetizers were great as well. I did indulge in the slipper for desert. It is now served on a slice of sponge cake which makes it even better! It is worth the price of the food just for the slipper! For the five of us, it came out to just under $200. But we all had apps, main course, and dessert. Plus the specialty smoothie in the souvenir glass. The best part was that Cinderella was in the lobby so dd got her siggy and a photo with her. It was a most magical meal. I say go for it!

We ate there for lunch, so not sure what the dinner food is like. The ambience is nice and I'm sure at dinner with the sun setting it would be even more romantic.

Definitly a highlight in our vacation a few weeks ago. The food was great but the look on DD4 face when she danced with Cindy in the lobby was priceless. Oh and the desserts, WOW! We used the Dining plan so price didn't play a part.

I thought the menu was changing starting in June? Is it going pre-plated or family style? Set price for all???? :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsboy: :earsgirl: :earsgirl: :earsgirl:

Menu is changing for lunch- dinner will stay the same.
Had dinner at crt in March. It is a tradition for us. It is pricey- but with MYW dining plan money was no object!!! The food is very good. It is not particularly gourmet or different- but that is one thing that makes it reliable year after year. I wouldn't go there just for the food but for very nice food in a very special setting it is perfect. We are going to be there again next Friday on our first night of vacation. We will be celebrating my dd's college graduation. She is a very sophisticated, world traveling, multi language , opera singing intellectual- and CRT was her first choice!!!!!! Sometimes its important just to have fun.

We eat there every time we go with the most recent being this past March. It's a tradition to go. I agree with one of the previous posts that the ambience makes it worth every cent. I think the food is great too. We had the dining plan this last time which made it all the more sweet! I hope you have a great time!

we just ate there a couple weeks ago for dinner

yes, its expensive....but its worth doing just for the "eating in the castle" experience.

I had a mussel/shrimp app that was ok, but my wife had the crab egg roll and that was excellent. We both had the lamb shank...very tasy and an incredible amount of lamb (there is no WAY either of us could finish it)....for dessert my wife had the mousse slipper and loved it...I had a rasberry sorbet with fresh fruit dessert which was also good.

Thank you so much for all of your replies. I have decided to definitely have dinner in the Castle. I can't wait!!! Thanks a lot. :earboy2:

We (3 adults) ate dinner at CRT Sunday. (I will write my dining reviews later today.)
We really liked it. DH and I had the lamb. It was excellant.
My sister had the chicken, mostly because she wanted the bread pudding/spinach souffle that came with it.)
She even liked this meal better than Chefs de France the night before! And THAT was a very good meal.
We ordered one slipper and shared it between the three of us. (Since it was her birthday celebration they also gave her a small cupcake, which she said was okay.)
