Dinner at Chef Mickey's?

I was thinking of taking my guests (my friend and her 12 year old son) there as an "arrival" dinner . . . it'll be their first trip to Disney.

How is the dinner there? How do you think it would go over with a 12 year old? Would it be worth it to go there after an all-day (~11 hours) car ride? (We'll be getting down around 3 pm, so I thought maybe give everyone 4-5 hours to rest up, 8 pm dinner reservation, then everyone still gets back to bed fairly early.)

it is a good buffet with mickey... it would be difficult to go wrong.

I think going to Chef Mickey's is a great idea for you first night. It will put you all in the Disney spirit. We always start our trip with dinner at Chef Mickey's and my kids love it. DD15 and DD11
The food is also good. Enjoy
