For a dinner at either Boma, Kona Cafe, or Spoodles... which 2 out of the 3 would you choose and why? We have been to Spoodles once before and liked it very much. The other 2 we haven't visited. Please give opinions, I need to cancel one of the three.

Thanks :thumbsup2

We have ADRs at these other restaurants during our trip:

Coral Reef
Biergarten
Whispering Canyon
San Angel Inn
Le Cellier
O'Hana
50's Prime Time

Boma and Spoodles! We love both! Boma is excellent, adventurous, very different from anything you're gonna make at home. Spoodles is more familiar (at least to us), but they do an excellent job with presenting a mediterranean/middle east menu. Boma, of course, is buffet and spoodles is table service, so there's a sense of elegance at Spoodles and Boma is a bit exotic. They are our favorite restaurants at Disney!

Bama C,
I haven't been to Spoodles yet, but it's on my list of restaurants that I'd like to try. We went to both Boma and Kona Cafe in April and liked them both very much so I suggest that you give them a try. The food at Boma is tasty and interesting and the atmosphere at AKLis great. Kona is a bit loud but our dinners were excellent.

Personally I would do Boma and Spoodles, but as you haven't tried Kona yet do Boma and Kona, that way you get to experience two new places.

Kona & Spoodles My son and I had a major allergy attack with something they cook with. It was when they first opened . Don't know what it was that set me off. It happen to me and one of my son's we coulndn't stop sneezing to the point we had to leave. Never had that before happen to us. We both have just your basic seasonal allergies. The Doc said it must have been some kind of spice that set us off.

Thank so much, all. I am thinking that we will probably do Boma and Kona just because we haven't been to those before. I appreciate all the opinions!!

Kona is good but Boma is FANTASTIC- you have to try it. Excellent choice of foods- some adventurous (but great) and some just flavorful. Homemade soups are excellent, as is dessert. You can also try South African wines. Boma gives you opportunity to see the beautiful AK Lodge and the animals too.

I will be trying Kona for my first time later this month, but have tried Spoodles and Boma before. I read lots of good things about Spoodles, but frankly, it was the worst meal we had on our last trip. I had the steak kabobs, and they were dry, tough, and flavorless. My friend had the rigatoni and said it definitely was nothing special. Then again, i've read many good things, so maybe we just were there on a bad day :confused3

Now Boma... you HAVE to try. I'd been a little scared about it, but finally decided to try it last year during free dining. Unfortunately it was our first dinner on that trip... and I say that because the rest of the trip we were comparing everything to how good Boma was! Plus we were lucky, and the chef brought us out a special plate of his deep fried oreos :thumbsup2
