Dinner and Illuminations

For a very good view, only Rose & Crown (seated outdoors) or La Hacienda (seated indoors).

You can get a view from window tables at Tokyo Dining, Chefs de France, Bistro de Paris and possibly Nine Dragons, but not a perfect one, at some not even a good one. Also I believe none of these restaurants pipe the sound in.

Just an FYI...there are no guarantees at either place that you'll get a table with a good view, even if you book the "right" time (generally about 75-90 minutes before Illuminations.)

At Rose & Crown, you have to take the next available table-which very well could be an inside table since that's where most of the tables are (they won't let you wait for a patio table.)

At La Hacienda, if you're seated in the main room you'll be able to see Illuminations from just about any table, but if you're seated in the side room (about 1/3 of the seats) you will have no view or very, very limited view. We were actually seated at the window in the side room...no view of Lagoon at all so could not see Illuminations except for "brighter" outside the window when fireworks would flare up. Could not actually see the fireworks, though.

As an alternative, you might want to try Tokyo Dining and go our on the decked walkway during Illuminations. Good viewing spot and close to the restaurant. However, it is tough to get a table near the windows.

Agree with the other posters - R & C or Hacienda are the best bets, but not a guarantee.

Can you wait for a table at Hacienda or do you have to take the next available like at R&C?

Thanks

At Rose & Crown, they will now let you say that you're willing to wait for an outside table. JUST MAKE SURE that they don't have you sitting under the awning - I saw that when he was marking our request and should have questioned it! Could barely see any of the fireworks portion!

La Hacienda was EMPTY when we were there (Wednesday before Thanksgiving - even though the rest of Epcot was CROWDED!) Make sure that you ask for a front row seat. Can't see any of the higher fireworks otherwise. (especially when they have a problem dimming the lights.)
