When we went to B&C for lunch one day the smell of fish @ Ale & Compass seemed to be very strong. DD and DH are both non-fish eaters and strong fish smells would make for an unpleasant meal for both of them. For those that have dined there, is the fish smell very strong inside the restaurant itself?

I didn’t smell any fishy smell when I went there last week and my boyfriend says I have a bloodhound nose. He claims to not smelling anything off either.

The fish smell at Cape May (on the Beach Club side) is for sure overpowering. I hate to walk that hallway at night let alone eat there. I’ve never noticed a fish smell at Ale & Compass (Yacht Club side) at lunch or dinner.

I agree with this. Cape May at dinner is overwhelmingly fishy smelling. I've never noticed any fish smell at Ale & Compass.

Where is the fish smell coming from then @ Cape May? We assumed, and now it sounds like we assumed incorrectly, that it was coming from Ale & Compass since it seems to be more of a seafood type place.

If you go at breakfast to Cape May is the fish smell still there? I think this might upset my DH.

I’m not sure. It doesn’t seem like the smell from Cape May would carry that far and I’ve never noticed an odor at Ale & Compass. Maybe they had a kitchen issue that day you were there. :confused3 There’s another active thread going on Ale & Compass - might be worth asking there as well to see if anyone has experienced the same thing?

I don't recall if we smelt it when we went to breakfast @ Cape May but definitely did when we walked through the building for our ressie @ Beaches & Cream on numerous occasions

Cape May is a full seafood buffet at dinner.

Which building were you walking through? BC or YC?
