Dining ???

Do you have to book a full package (hotel/tickets) to be able to book the dining option?

Is the dining option worth the money?

Maybe I am confused but do they not offer breakfast with the dining option?

I am looking at staying at POP in Sept/Oct 2006 so will always be dining somewhere in WDW.

Any help would be appreciated.

From what I understand you need to book it with your room and have at least a 1 day base ticket into parks to have dining applied to your trip. Dining package = 1 table service, 1 counter service, and 1 snack per night of your stay. You do not need passes into the parks for length of stay!! So ie:
if you and your so are staying 10 nights you would get

20 - counter service (cs) meals - days, times, places up to you
20 - table service (ts) meals - days, times, places up to you
20 - snacks - days, times, places up to you

this means you could do a breakfast TS (alot of last seatings are around 11:00am - so you could even think early lunch), snack around lunchtime and dinner CS - or switch it around and CS for breakfast, snack at lunchtime, and TS at supper time. With the amount of food served - you get Appetizer, Entree, Dessert, and beverage you may even get away sharing some meals and just buying say a drink out of pocket. I found that the amount we would have spent on counter service meals equaled the amount of the dining plan for us and it included the character meals too so for us it was a great option.

Yes you have to pay for a room at rack rate and have at least a one day ticket for everyone in your party. You can use your TS or CS meals as any meal you want. Character meals count for one sitdown meal. CS meals can be used for breakfast in your resorts food court.

It depends on if it is worth the money or not to you. For 2005 its 35/night for adult and 10/night for kids 9 and under. So look at some menus (www.allearsnet.com) and see where you would like to eat and then figure the $$ and see.
