Can someone tell me if there is dining forum for US/ioa or could you highlight the best places to eat? We like character meals- also can you call ahead and reserve seating? Where are the best places to eat? In WDW we love Chef Mickey's, Ohana's, CRT, mama melrose, character buffets, el pirates, crystal palace, and chowder house can't remember the name- so anything like that around?

We usually discuss dining here. At IOA, the best places to eat IMO, would be Mythos(it's a gourmet restaurant in a themepark setting.) I kid you not. It's great and the atmosphere is out of this world. Pricey, but great. There is also Confisco's. On Fri, Sat, and Sun, they have a character breakfast with Cat in the Hat and other Dr. Seuss characters. Those are the sitdown restaurants. There are also lots of quick eateries that are great too!


At the Studios, the best place to eat would be Finnegan's bar and grill (irish pub setting) and Lombards Landing (upper scale sea food restaurant.)

You can call ahead. Highlander posted all the phone numbers to the main restaurants in another thread (repost, please). You can also get ressies booked day-of, as there is a booth in each park where you can get all your dining info/accomodations taken care of.

While SpideyHulk has listed the best restaurants in the parks, there are some great counter-serve/walk up ones as well.

Louie's, the Boulengeraie, Schwabs (for ice cream/milkshakes), and Cafe La Bamba are highly recommended in USF.

In IOA, Thunder Falls (if open), the Burger Digs, Enchanted Oak, and Cafe 4 are highly recommended as well.

City Walk with kids is fine. After about 10 or so a lot of the places take on a more club like atmosphere with music and such and I think the preference is over 21.

Our two favorites on City Walk are Margaritaville and NBA City. IN fact my son and I were yearning to be in Margaitaville today as we drove to school in 20 degree weather and heard a Jimmy Buffet song on the radio. GReat food and fun at both places.

IMGONNABE40 - my kids and I did the same thing this week! We were listening to the volcano song and we just wished we were sitting at Magaritaville! My dd asked if we could only listen to Jimmy Buffet music until our trip - I love him, but no, not gonna happen! I have to dig out my IOA cd - that should get us in the mood.
