Help - 1st timers here for DL and we always do WDW and their dining plan and like the signature dining. We are going for our 32nd Wedding Anniversary and I have a few questions....
Best place for sit down dinner ?
Most Romantic ?
Best counter service?
and are there any dinner shows available like Spirit of Aloha or Hoop Dee Doo?

table service in the parks = Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe, and Blue Bayou (I'm not personally a fan of the food, but it is pretty cool to eat inside POTC.)

most romantic = Napa Rose (Chef's Table was a great experience) and Steakhouse 55

counter Service = Pacific Wharf (DCA), Plaza Inn (for the chicken), Rancho del Zocalo (Disney's version of Mexican food...good, but not great)

DLR has nothing really comparable to SoA or HDD, but you can eat while watching Billy Hill and Hillbillies at the Golden Horseshoe (free show). There is also some musical entertainment at the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ.

Disneyland Resort dining has nothing like the multitudes of dining options that are available at WDW. The only real high-end restaurants are Napa Rose in the Grand Californian Hotel and Steakhouse 55 in the Disneyland Hotel. If you're coming to DLR for the dining experiences, you'll be disappointed. There is good food to be found, but it's not the same as WDW. For full-service restaurants, Napa Rose is the most romantic, Blue Bayou is the most exciting (inside Pirates of the Caribbean ride) and Storyteller's Cafe breakfast buffet is the best character dining we've experienced at DLR. For counter service we like either the Pizza Port for the pasta or the Pacific Wharf for the sourdough bread bowl soups and salads.
