Am trying to get family to decide on TS restaurant. DD aged 15 is the problem (just wants burgers, nuggets, pizza etc.) would she be able to eat off the childrens menu. Has anyone had any experience of being refused.
Thanks
Jan

I wanted to know the answer to this questions as I have the same dilemma. Other DISers informed me that you have no problem ordering off the childs menu even if you are an adult. I will find out for myself next year when we go, you are probably going before us. :sunny:

Although I don't know for definate I wouldn't imagine you having a problem.Obviously buffet style & some restaurants that give free dining for kids, she wouldn't be eligible. You may find that there is stuff on the "normal" menu that she will like, typically the kids choice : burger, mac 'n' cheese, corn dogs, chicken tenders, pizza & P&J sandwich could get a bit monotonous after 2 weeks!

Hi Wendy, glad it's just not me. I'm going to take a look through the Disney restaurant board, if I find anything I'll post it for you

Jan - look on Allears.net they have the menus for all the restaurants, counter service places etc in the parks and the resorts. It proved invaluable, I even tried to work out a rough budget so I don't die of shock at how much money we'll spend on food when we go. The longer you have to get used to the idea the less of a shock it will be, I think :rotfl2:

We find buffets the best with teenagers both on & off site.

On our last trip we ate at Boma which was wonderful & whilst the kids did try a little of the many different foods on offer they also stuck to stuff they Knew& liked.

And they are more likely to try something new if they know it can be left if they don't like it.

We also did the buffet at Hollywood & Vine in MGM for ourFantasmic meal.

Hi,

When we eat at buffet restauarants in WDW, ie Crystal Palace and Chef Mickey etc, I tend to choose things from the kids section, no one says anything.

I do pay for the adults meal, just prefer the kids choice, of pizza, mac and cheese

Hi, thanks for the replies - I have checked through all the menus and find myself going round in circles. Posters on the Resturant board have ordered off child menus - even adults - so hopefully we will be ok

Adults can order ff of the childrens menu, sometimes they will charge you a different poce and sometimes give you a bigger portion. The disney restrants are very accomdating, if you tell the waiting staff they will usually try to sort something out for you.
