Aa we venture back north on I-95, I decided to write up a little dining review of our recent trip. We normally do 2 character meals per trip but we decided to hit up 4 this time b/c our kids do better with buffets and multiple food choices. So the adventure was myself, DH, and our 3 DS (8,6,2)

Arrival dinner
Chef Mickeys: our kids were on cloud 9 and also a littler overstimulated. We waited about 10 min for our 7:20 reservation. Our table overlooked the MK so that was awesome. Characters were great. Didn't feel rushed and many came back around a 2nd time. Food was ok. Hot items much better than cold display by far. Kids are pretty well so no complaints. First note: can we get some veggies for the salad bar! Desserts were great. Loved the smores bites!

Saturday: Tusker House Breakfast
Waited 15 min for our 10:20 reservation. Felt like I was disappointed a little here. Kids ate standard fare but the quiche was cold and the frittata had raw onions in it also. Bacon was not cooked fully either. The juice was great though! The characters were very rushed and rarely interacted at all. Always heard great things but did not live up to expectations. Also, my oldest DS realized he left his UA sweatshirt at our table 15 min after exiting...well, we never saw it again.

MOnday: Via Napoli dinner. Arrived and waited 10 min for our 4:30 ADR. Bread was delicious! Pizza was fantastic and our kids loved it! We had a white pizza and a regular cheese kids pizza. So good. My husband also had the veal Parmesan. He said it was very good. We also tried the Sangria which was pretty good as well. Will return!

Wednesday
Crystal Palace dinner. No wait for our 7:10 reservation. This is almost a family tradition. Love the characters and terrific interaction. Buffet is standard fare but felt it was better than chef mickeys. Also, loved the turtle cheesecake bites!!!

Thursday: Thanksgiving
1900 Park Fare. By far our favorite buffet of the trip. Wonderful spread of food. Great options. Tons of fruit! Awesome characters. We saw the Mad Hatter, Pooh, Tigger, Mary Poppins and Alice. This will be a new favorite for years to come!

Dinner: Cape May
Waited 45 min for our reservation. The food was good and I've always enjoyed breakfast here also. Great selections along with the added in thanksgiving fare. The kids selections were a little slim compared to other buffets: fish nuggets/Mac and cheese and carrots. It was good but not sure worth the price.

A few QS reviews
Pinochio Village: awful is the only word to describe this. The flatbreads and meatball subs were cold and when we got replacement ones they weren't any better. Plus they totally loaded up on the balsamic vinegar on the bread!

Columbia Harbour House: always wonderful. No complaints as everything was fantastic. We had the lobster roll and the vegetarian chili. Excellent!

peco Bills: the pulled pork was fabulous! Corn on the cob a little over cooked. The kids grilled cheese was just okay.

Captain cooks: went for dinner one night as a break and to see the Polynesian. Awfully slow service and nowhere to sit. Food was just okay. The flatbread was good but salads, forgot chicken and then added half cooked chicken. Kids chicken was not cooked either and we discussed with manager and they offered to redo but it was too late. My son was not hungry after that. About a hour later, he threw up all over outside the Polynesian. Fun times! Not sure if it was the food but he wasn't sick again.

gasparilla grill
We were at the VGF so we ate here once for breakfast and dinner. Very good but limited seating.

Overall, we had some good and some not so good. Felt some of the overall quality of food has gone downhill and healthy options are very limited at times.

thanks for your reviews..

I agree ..sometimes the food is left out and by the time we get it..it could be cold...send it back is the theme there..

I love CP dinner...we always go there ..year after year..interaction is great with the characters and the food is pretty darn good too..

Thanks again
