For our next trip, my 3 year old's only request is to "eat with Mickey Mouse". Can anyone suggest a good character meal that includes Mickey other than Chef Mickey's?

We've eaten at Chef Mickey's on 2 other trips (once for breakfast, once for dinner)....But it's just so loud and chaotic in there.

So, please share your experiences of other character meals that specifically include Mickey Mouse....(any meal).

Thanks in advance,
Elizabeth

I think he's still at the Garden Grill in Epcot (I haven't eaten there in years, so can't comment on the current menu). He's also at breakfast with Lilo and Stitch at the Poly, which is a really good breakfast with lots of character interaction and activities for the kids. He's also over at Tusker House for Breakfast with Donald, which gets really good reviews though I haven't tried it myself yet. HTH!

Just an FYI, we tried Tusker House this past August and although the food was good, it was just as loud as Chef Mickey's.

Besides Chef Mickey's, Mickey appears at these character meals:

Tusker House, AK (breakfast)
Ohana, Polynesian (breakfast)
Garden Grill, Epcot (dinner)

Both Donald's Safari Breakfast (TH) and O'Hana (breakfast) were really good. I have heard of O'Hana taking long to check in even with ADRs, but we went 15 minutes after they opened and it was deserted...this was Dec 24! It started to fill up after 8 am.

The Garden Grill, Donald's Breakfast Safari, O'Hana.... I can't believe that's it for Mickey!

If you're looking for his friends, Cape May Cafe has Goofy, Minnie, and Donald (why no Mickey?), and the Garden Grove Cafe has Pluto and Goofy.

If you want low-key then I'd go with Garden Grill for dinner. We've had great character interaction there and it's pretty quiet.

'Ohana is good too, if you'd prefer breakfast. It was quiet when we were there, though they did a little parade around the room with the kids. My DD enjoyed that.

We've also done Tusker. It was good, but I prefer both Garden Grill and 'Ohana over Tusker. I don't know that I'd do it again. The food was okay, the character interaction was okay... but just okay.

Mickey is also at Mickey's Backyard BBQ at Ft Wilderness, but I wouldn't recommend that at all. Total chaos is the only way I'd describe it. We didn't care for it at all. We do Chef Mickey's almost every trip but we'll never do the BBQ again. And the characters don't pose for photos or sign autographs at the BBQ. The food was decent though, and the band was pretty good.

We loved the breakfast at O'hana. The food was excellent and the restaurant itself is really nice. We usually go a little later around 10:15am or so and find that since they are getting closer to closing time that it's quiet and the character interaction is fantastic.
