Has anyone done this? How was it? My husband did the lunch version at The Brown Derby with his father last year and loved it so he and I were considering trying this on an upcoming trip. Can't seem to really find any posts or mentions of it (think they just launched it a few months ago) so looking for feedback if anyone has gone yet.

I have not done it however, I have loved my last several meals at Citrocos. I think they have really stepped up their game so I can't imagine this experience being a disappointment.

I'm actually looking to book a lunch at Dining with an Imagineer at Hollywood Brown Derby. We did it in Dec, and it was awesome! Not sure I'd wanna do one at Citrico's. That's much fancier and prolly more expensive, and really no desire to eat at Citrico's. HBD was expensive enough. But, I'm right on the 180 day time right now. We go to WDW on Nov 12 and want to book for probably Wed, Nov 16, at HBD. Not sure if this falls in with the rule of booking 180 days + 10, or it has to be exactly on the 180 days or less. But, that whole week is showing as unavailable at this point. Not sure if it's because I'm just a few days too early or they aren't doing this at HBD anymore? I never saw the Citrico's option until tonight so thought it was totally brand new. Doing a google search, this thread showed up. Guess I should have looked here first, lol!
Does anyone know if they are doing the Dining with an Imagineer for lunch(HBD) and dinner(Citrico's) or are only doing the Citrico's one? I know they had ended the dinners at Flying Fish later last year. Not sure if Citrico's is just replacing the dinner, or is the only option.

I have reservations for the Dining with an Imagineer @ Citricos for next Thursday. The event at Citricos is only on the first Thursday of every month at 5:30 p.m.. However, I am getting a lot of grief about the pricing. When I booked, they told me 89.00 per person, however, when I call the idiots at the reservation center to verify, no-one can seem to give me a straight answer. I even asked for a supervisor (which I know aren't real supervisors, just Cast Members trained to take escalated calls) and THEY couldn't even give me a price. I have tried calling Citricos directly, however, can't seem to get anyone to answer the phone there either. Getting very frustrating. Disney has really gone down the tubes in the last year or so!! Probably will be the last time I visit there (and I only live 12 miles from the Magic Kingdom).

We've never dined at Citricos and when I saw this available during our Oct/Nov trip, I grabbed it. I was wondering if Lori7234 or anyone else has done this :)

Yes, I went on July 7th. It is $89.00 per person, tax and gratuity included. You get a four course meal. Let me just say, it is WELL worth the money. The food was excellent and what was supposed to be a 2 hour event, turned into 4. If you are lucky enough to get a reservation, keep it!!

Thanks so much!!!

By any chance, can I trouble you to let us know a little more about the menu? Is it a set menu, like Brown Derby or is the entire Citricos menu available to choose from? I know that the description says a one on one chat with an imaginer, so do you get your own imagineer or are all of the guests seated at the same table?

Thanks again!

It is a set menu. You have two choices for each course (however, they will work with you if you have allergies, etc.). For example, for the first course, we had the voice of English pea soup or the Citricos cheese board. There is only one imagineer, however, it takes place in the Chef's Domain. There is seating for 11 guests plus the imagineer. The Doors are kept closed so there are no distractions from the main restaurant and everyone gets a chance to ask questions. You also get a chance to purchase a souvenir plate signed by the imagineer too. That is 25.00. I am going to try to include a picture of our dessert. It was the warm chocolate banana torte and OMG. It was absolutely amazing.

Wow I forgot I asked about this back in Feb. we did wind up going during our trip in May and it was a good experience. We had an interesting imagineer. The food was good but I didn't love my entree (short ribs). I agree that it is a long dinner so anyone doing it should not plan on doing much else that night. We had a different menu than what you described so it appears to change frequently.

I had the short ribs as an entree and the pork belly as the 2nd course. We had a great imagineer. Her name was Cindy.
