Just got back from WDW for the Marathon weekend. We were travelling with one wheat and gluten allergy and one latotse intolerance. Every restaurant, hotel and theme park were able to accomodate our needs. At the buffets at Crystal palace, Chef Mickey's and Cape May, the chef would walk us through the buffet pointing what was safe and what was not. They all offered to cook something special if our daughter could not find anything or was uncomfortable at the buffet. At Crystal palace, the chef made a fabulous gluten free brownie for our daughter. The presentation was phenomenal. At Chef Mickey's individual omelettes and rice pancakes were the chef's specialties. We stayed at the Pop Century where the kitchen was stocked with gluten free products. All you had to do was ask. The gluten free pizza was a big hit. Our daughter was thrilled to be able to eat like everyone else. She did not have to stick to a plain chicken breat and a baked potato. The icing on the cake for her (sorry about the pun) was the key lime creme brulee at Narcoosee's. WDW was definitely a safe place for our allergy sufferers.:dance3:
