Dining with a 10 year old

We're hoping to plan a trip for early next year...my daughter will be 10, which we know makes her a Disney adult. For some dining, I know we just pay the adult rate for her - like if we're doing a character meal (she's already talking about doing Garden Grill and Boma again). But at other restaurants, will it be fine for her to order off the kids' menu? And...if we go someplace like Be Our Guest, do you think they will let her get a kids' meal (even though I know we will have to pay the adult price)? THANKS!

Our experience has been this:
Anywhere that is prix-fixe and our 11yo or 14 yo wanted an adult meal or a child meal neither one was an issue (we paid the adult price, OOP, and they were able to get what they wanted). Essentially, you have paid the adult price and so it doesn't matter to them if your child has the filet from the adult menu or the chicken nuggets as long as you're okay with the cost.

Anywhere that is not buffet/ prix fixe/ aycte, they could order from either menu without issue (we were never upcharged or told we had to pay additional for a drink/ dessert)

So essentially, none of the scenarios you mentioned have presented an issue for us. I always caution that there is some level of CM discretion/ inconsistent enforcement that is always possible with anything at Disney but in our last 3 trips none of this has been an issue.

There are times my 11 yo eats more than my 14 yo, and times my 2 yo eats more than my 11 yo. Sometimes my 11 yo wants the filet and my 14 yo wants chicken tenders and vice versa. It’s always a wild card!

That's exactly how mine is. So I just want to make sure we have options. When we were there 2 years ago, she was super adventurous...LOVED Boma & Tusker House...but hit a point where she just wanted mac & cheese.
