Thinking about an October 2011 trip and renting DVC points. I know prices aren't out for dining and ticketing for then, but just curious how it works? We for sure would want the regular(1cs, 1ts)DDP and 7 or 8 day tickets. Thanks!

Oh, another question... Can you rent points to add up from different people to book a consecutive stay trip? I noticed that people have x amount of points for x amount of dollars. Can I rent enough points from say 4 different people at a lower price and add them all together for 1 trip?

This trip is a long time away and only a maybe, but we just got back a week and a half ago and dreaming about going back ever since. DH is ok with not waiting 6 years in between again, but not so sure about 2 years. I'm crossing my fingers!

The DDP is added to your reservation by the member you rent from. You pay Disney when you check in.

You can buy tickets from Disney or another ticket broker and you pay them.

Renting from more than one member is a mistake in my opinion. Renting from a member who is offering a real low price could also be a mistake.

Many members who have never rented before have decided not to vacation and they are becoming landlords without any idea of how to do it or what's expected. If the member makes a mistake you may end up without a reservation.

You can't do anything at all with the points if you are not a member. If you were a member, you could get a single transfer in from a single member. But if you are not a member, you have zero control over the points and the reservation. All you can do is pay a member to make a reservation for you. If you get five members to each reserve a single night for you, you would have five reservations, maybe not the same room category, same resort, same room size and, therefore, you might have to check in, check out, check in again and move to a different room.

The member would have to add the DDP to your reservation, but they could not provide tickets. You'd have to buy them on your own, wherever you wish.

You would be renting a reservation from an individual, not from Disney, so Disney would not be involved in this in any way.
