We just decided this week to cancel Washington DC in August and head to Orlando instead. We will stay two nights at HRH before moving to Disney for the remainder of our trip.

The Disney portion is all booked, including dining, as we've been many times but I'm unsure about Universal. We've been once, 10 years ago for one day.

We are 3 adults and DD15. We like at least one sit down meal a day. DD would love to eat at Three Broomsticks. We've enjoyed Margaritaville in other cities so think it might be good.

What about reservations? Do we need them? Is there a central system like Disney or do we call each restaurant?

Thanks- I've been reading all week but I'm finding it much more difficult to get info on Universal.

We didn't eat at three broomsticks, but I've heard it was a good experience. Our favorites were Finnegan's in Universal Studios followed by Mythos in IOA. Finnegan's had more reasonably priced food and more to choose from that was closer to what we usually eat at home. Mythos was more expensive with fairly small portions (for some choices) but a nicer atmosphere and more unique choices. We had reservations at Mythos (in October) and still waited over 20 minutes to be seated. We didn't have reservations at Finnegan's and were seated immediately.

I would get reservations. It's better to play it safe. You could always cancel if you decide not to eat there.
