My mom, 3yo son, and I are doing to WDW in November. I already have reservations for the following:
Chef Mickey's (dinner)
Hollywood and Vine (brunch)
Tusker House (breakfast)
'Ohana (breakfast)
Liberty Tree Tavern (dinner) - Mom's only request
Garden Grill (dinner)

Where else should we try? I am curious about the following places, but of course welcome suggestions if other places are better!
Splitsville
Boma
1900 Park Fare
Crystal Palace
Grand Floridian Cafe
Be Our Guest (can't find a reservation here to save my life)

Boma has the best buffet in WDW and 1900 Park Fare is the second worst slightly ahead of Hollywood and Vine, but your 3 year old will love the characters at H&V. Crystal Palace is a must-do if you or any of your family members are fans of Pooh and his friends.

Our 2.5 y.o. loved Pooh and friends so much that we ended up doing TWO Crystal Palace breakfasts on our Feb 2013 trip. I really recommend it for Pooh fans.

We also did the dinner at 1900 Park Fare, and even though he's a boy, he was enthralled with the characters, esp. Cinderella. DS had never even heard of her before, but she was so sweet and lovely that she became is new BFF. By the next day, he was looking for her all around MK and noted every time we passed a picture of her. We had a lovely experience at 1900 Park Fare and it was our very first character meal at WDW.

The other meal DS really enjoyed was Tusker House breakfast. It was a great way to see the Fab 5 and he enjoyed the parade and the food.

Toddler enjoyed the noise and parade at Boma dinner, but not the food so much. Please note that our toddler is not much of a sweets fan, so the grand assortment of desserts did nothing for him.

Chef Mickey's dinner was lowest on our character meal experiences. None of us liked the food and the characters just rushed past.

We did a walk-up lunch at BRG and it was just okay. The line to get in and order was much faster/shorter than it looks from outside, but then we waited at least another 45-60 min to get our food, which was mediocre at best. We would've been better off getting something at a counter, time-wise and quality-wise. However, if you can get a FP+ for lunch at BOG, it is fun just to experience the space (though not the noisy and dark thunder room -- West Wing, is it? -- for our little one).
