This September I will be heading to WDW for the first time in 6 yrs with my girlfriend. I know I am planning quite a bit ahead of schedule, but that is part of the fun. Here is the proposed plan I have put together (will be staying at the WDW Swan which is why so many breakfast meals are in that area).

Suggestions?

Lunch - Counter Service @ Islands of Adventure
Dinner - Rainforest Cafe @ Downtown Disney

Day 3: Breakfast - Spoodles
Lunch - Counter Service @ Typhoon Lagoon
Dinner - L'Originale Alfredo

Day 4: Breakfast - Chef Mickey's
Lunch - Counter Service @ MK
Dinner - Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic Package)

Day 5: Breakfast - Tubbi's Buffeteria
Lunch - Counter Service @ Epcot
Dinner - Whispering Canyon

Day 6: Breakfast - Boardwalk Bakery
Lunch - 50's Prime Time Cafe
Dinner - Boma

Day 7: Breakfast - Tubbi's Buffeteria
Lunch - Tusker House
Dinner - Liberty Tree Tavern

Day 8: Breakfast - Spoodles
Lunch - Counter Service @ Blizzard Beach
Dinner - Le Cellier

Day 9: Breakfast - Kona Cafe
Lunch - Cinderella's Royal Table
Dinner - Wine & Food Festival (Day 1 of the festival)

Day 10:Breakfast - Tubbi's Buffeteria
Lunch - Sci-Fi Dine In
Dinner - Counter Service @ MK

My girlfriend has only been to WDW once and has not eaten at most of these restaraunts so I think this covers a pretty good variety of places to eat that I believe she would enjoy. The only ones missing are Teppanyaki in Japan and some type of seafood somewhere, but I had to cut out something somewhere... Thanks!

Looks excellent. Fresh at the Dolphin is also close to you. Made to order (in front of you) eggs, omelets etc. also sausages, bacon, pancakes, with a wonderful homemade breads, fruits etc buffet table, exellent choice of various interesting fresh juices too. We enjoyed breakfast there in December. Since it's a buffet, it doesn't take as long as a sit down meal. You could switch a "Tubbi's Buffeteria" one day for this.

:sunny: Hi

If you only have one day at IOA I wouldn't rush back for dinner at Rainforrest Cafe, there are lots of nice places to eat at City Walks. We ate at Jimmy Buffets Margaretaville and sat on the upsatairs balcony watching the world go by. It was nice and relaxing after all those rollercoasters :rotfl:

Spoodles is nice for breakfasts but i wouldn't go twice. Fresh always seems to get good reviews and is close by.

If you want to add in another meal why not cut out a breakfast and have an early lunch, you can get a PS for 11am and a late dinner. That way you could find room for the seafood meal you think your girlfriend would like. ;)

Have a great time :goodvibes

Thanks for the info - did not think about Fresh... YEs we would only have one day at IOA/Universal, but since there is no Rainforest Cafe for about 200 miles of where I live, had to fit it in somewhere since my GF really wants to have a volcano desert or whatever that is called. However, it is possible to nix that restaraunt in favor of something @ citywalk... Good advice...

:sunny: Hi

If you are rearly keen on rainforrest cafe why not combine it with your trip to AK. You could have breakfast at Boma (very nice ;) and very filling )spend the day at AK and finish off with an early dinner at Rainforrest cafe (at AK not DTD). You will get more out of your days if you cut down on travelling, linking meals to the nearest park or resort, this saves time if you have your own transport as well as using disney transport and is much more relaxing. :goodvibes

We ate breakfast twice at Spoodles last trip and it was good! Gave us a chance to try more items and we really liked the atmosphere there in the morning. We also did breakfasts and late night desserts from the BWBakery, it is wonderful! The only thing on your list I wouldn't do again was Chef Mickey, IMHO it is way over hyped! We liked the character breakfast at Cape May much better. :)

Not trying to be a party pooper and I am sure you have thoiught of this but that is ALOT of food... Unless it is an early lunch and a late dinner you may not be hungry on the days you have a sit down at both... JMHO

Thanks for the replies. I had not thought about Fresh instead of a second meal at Spoodles or Tubbies - good advice. As to the amount of meals, generally speaking, when we have a sit down meal lunch will be optional. The only lunch meal I would like to have is the 50's Prime Time Cafe - all others will depend on how hungry or lack there of we are. Dinner plans are the ones I do not want to change. I went back and forth on where to eat dinner and finally settled on the places above. My parents will be meeting us in WDW and they are not too fond of Rain Forest so we will go there before they make it to WDW from Arizona.

Thanks for the advice and if anyone else has tips, please let me know. Thanks!

I see you plan to do a lot of park hopping! I'm assuming you have a vehicle, otherwise you'd be spending a lot of time in transit and in meals on Day 7 and losing time from the two parks. The other days looked good, but I agree not to worry about rushing back for Rainforest Cafe on your IOA day.

Yeah - I noticed that on Day 7 also and changed it to MGM in the morning and MK in the evening. We will be staying at the Swan so a boat ride or short walk will not take too long to get from the Swan to MGM in the morining. I understand about not rushing back to the Rain Forest Cafe, but that would be the only day we could go to it without my parents who do not want to visit that restaraunt again - but it will be optional... I also realize it is primarily 2 sit down meals per day, which I understand can be a lot of food. However, planning it this way does at least reserve 2 meals a day if we choose to eat them. I have been to WDW over 20 times, so Park Hopping is something we are all used to.

Updated plan now looks like this:

Day 1: Dinner - Counter Service @ MK

Day 2: Breakfast - Boardwalk Bakery (Islands of Adventure Day)
Lunch - Counter Service @ Islands of Adventure
Dinner - Rainforest Cafe @ Downtown Disney (Late Dinner)

Day 3: Breakfast - Spoodles (Typhoon Lagoon Morning)
Lunch - Counter Service @ Typhoon Lagoon
Dinner - L'Originale Alfredo (Epcot Evening)

Day 4: Breakfast - Chef Mickey's (MK Morning)
Lunch - Counter Service @ MK (Light Lunch)
Dinner - Hollywood & Vine (Fantasmic Package - MGM Evening)

Day 5: Breakfast - Tubbi's Buffeteria (Epcot Morning)
Lunch - Counter Service @ Epcot (Light Lunch)
Dinner - Whispering Canyon (MK Evening before Dinner then Downtown Disney for Pleasure Island)

Day 6: Breakfast - Boardwalk Bakery (Light Breakfast - Animal Kingdom Morning)
Lunch - Counter Service @ Animal Kingdom
Dinner - Boma (Animal Kingdom Evening - Extra Hours if needed)

Day 7: Breakfast - Tubbi's Buffeteria (Light Breakfast - MGM Morning)
Lunch - 50's Prime Time Cafe
Dinner - Liberty Tree Tavern (Magic Kingdom Evening - Extra Hours if needed)
