Somebody made an awesome dining rotation chart and I cannot find the link. HELP!!

Also, what's the best meal to skip these days for Palo reservation. I need to call Debbie for my REAS but haven't decided what night to skip, and we really don't want to double dip.

Thanks!

I had created two charts...one for Eastern and one for Western that were color coded with tons of info on shows, charac. breakfasts, theme nights, etc.

Unfortunately two of our computers crashed and both drives that I had them stored were compromised.

I have not redone them yet.

There was another who made a similar chart not too long ago...maybe they will post the link.

Are you on western or eastern ?

Here's what i have down for western hope it helps. You could skip one of the restaurants that you'll be at twice, palo is also a great restaurant to be in on formal night / semi formal or you could do brunch instead.

if you get plaplap it will be as follows on western i believe.

Sat - Parrot Cay - Casual
Sun - Lumieres - casual
Mon - Animatores - Formal
Tues - Parrot - around the world menu - casual
Wed - Lumieres - Tropical night - Tropical Dress
Thur - Animators - captains gala - semi formal
Fri - Parrot Cay - Best of Menu

Someone had actually had their DH download her Excel dining rotation chart onto the thread so we could use the spreadsheet. I, too, cannot remember who that was. If you are reading this, can you let us know so we can go to that thread? Thanks.

I have that spreadsheet. I don't know if it is accurate for Western, but pretty sure Eastern is accurate.

Don't know how to post it here, but if you send me an email I can send it to you.

DrCavin. I'll PM my e-mail address to you. If you send the file to me, I can post it on my web server and put a link to it here. It's also timely for me since I'm about to leave for the Eastern!

NYdiscruisers,

you're a peach - thank you so much!!! you have helped me so much in my late minute booking for July 24. God Bless Ya!

Thanks RClark. Not sure where I got that from, but it helped us a great deal :)

We had APLAPLA on our recent Western cruise. We booked our Palo night on Tuesday, the second of three Animator's Palate nights. We wanted Palo to fall on one of the three Animator's nights since we could still visit Animator's twice. Had we booked it on a Parrot Cay or Lumiere's night, we would only end up visiting the skipped restaurant once. This way, we had Palo and still had each restaurant twice.

How do I know which rotation I'm on? We are the Eastern Halloween cruise this Oct.

Thanks for the links. :earsgirl: :sunny:  :earsgirl: :sunny:

It will be printed on your room key when you check in and on some information that will be in your stateroom. As far as I know, you can't find out what your rotation is prior to check-in, although you can request a particular rotation with your cruise reservation.

mhb,
You won't know your rotation until you check in. The general rule seems to be as follows:

APL: Parties with young children
PLA: Parties with older children (This was us, DD10 and DD6)
LAP: Parties with no children

Of course, there are exceptions to every rule. If you are not happy with your rotation, you can always request to change once you board and DCL will make every effort to accomodate you.

NYdiscruisers....yep...that was my chart!!! Thanks for updating....I know it came in handy for many Dis'ers!!

The spreadsheet from Dr. Cavin was created by me. I posted a thread sometime ago asking someone to host it on their website as I did not have the ability to do so. No one replied. Thank you RClarkofNC for putting it on your website.

Thanks for the info, Scottygirl. I've updated the web page to show that. Mmouse37 and NYdiscruisers, I've also posted your graphic there as well. I hope that's OK. It's just a little web page that I threw together for the DIS cruisers on our upcoming trip.

DrCavin,

Glad to hear the spreadsheet helped and that it was accurate for the Eastern. Hopefully it is for the Western too.

RClarkofNC,

Thanks for the credit!!

NYDISCUISERS and AIRTIME247:

I am having a meltdown about which rotation to choose when I book my REAS. Right now we have PLA, but then we end up in AP on formal nights. I was about ready to book APL so that, like you, we could do Palo's on AP night. However, I keep reading that that is the rotation most given to families with young children.

QUESTION: Did either of you have late dining and, if so, did you see a lot of young children with the APL rotation?

Thanks so much for any info you can provide,
Cathy

We have been on all the late dining rotations over the course of our 10 DCL cruises and for the life of me cannot tell you if one had more kids than another...you just do not notice them....unless of course they are slinging food at you from another table LOL (which I have never seen BTW)...but, really, I do not think you should worry about what rotation has more children...the difference is minimal between the rotations.

RCclarkeNC.....no problem here with the posting to your website!!! I am a full believer in the sharing of info to help other DIS'ers!!!
