Part 3 of our dining experience
Here is a list of places we ate in order of appearance and review. All are first time places for us.

Tuesday May 27 Nine Dragons
Didnt expect to have lunch here. We took the Undiscovered Future World Tour in the morning and with the tour we got passes to fast track and 20% off of lunch at either Nine Dragons or Akershus. Since we had PSs for Norway that evening, we went to Nine Dragons.
We ordered the meal for two. It came with three full dishes (to share) and plenty of rice. The dishes were a type of pepper steak, a shrimp dish which was very tasty, and the third was a honey flavored chicken nugget dish which also was pretty good.
It was all very good but filling. I wasnt sure we were going to make our Norway PS 4 hours later.
Akershus
We had reservations for 5:15. The restaurant was only about 25% full but we still had to wait about 10 minutes?!! As you all know, it is a buffet, and the buffet is cold. You order the hot entrees separately. My wife ordered the sausages, and I ordered the Soused Fresh Mackerel.
Even though they offer wine pairings, we just had a couple glasses of draft beer.
Do you know that they serve a dark draft beer now? It is NOT on the menu. It is called Aase (I think).
I dont remember what all the cold food was. The peel and eat shrimp was good. The herring in tomato sauce was OK.
For dessert I ordered the Viking ship. It is chocolate mousse shaped like (what else) a Viking ship with chocolate sticks as oars. It was very good. My DW ordered something like a large gingerbread cookie which came with paints (food colorings) in chocolate icing dishes. It was on the childrens menu. You can paint the cookie. She obviously is a kid at heart.
Wednesday May 28 Trails End Buffet
In search of pressed pennies, we went over to FW and had lunch at Trail end. It is a very good buffet, make our own pulled pork sandwiches, soft tacos. The chili was second best (next to my own LOL), just the right consistency, not too spicy (a few more green peppers maybe). The unlimited drinks and one for the road was a very nice touch.

We had reservations for 7 and were seated promptly. Our menus had the wine selections for each food item and it also had the three wines for $25 special (Uh oh were we going to relive our Artists Point experience). We asked, and the waiter said you would get whatever wine was listed with the food item. OK great. And we got each wine when each course was presented .
My DW ordered the Foie Gras Ravioli in Shiitake Mushroom jus as an appetizer. It came with an Argyle Pinot Noir wine. She ordered Asparagus Salad with Arugula, Frisee, and Westphalian Ham. It was paired with a Hugel Gentil Alsace wine. Her entrée was Basil-Crusted Rack of Lamb with Ragout of Spinach, white beans and Shiitakes. The wine was a merlot from Berringer.
I ordered the Gateau of Crab with sweet corn sauce as an appetizer. The wine was a Chardonnay from the Mondavi Private Selection, The salad was Citricos Salade Maison with Cabernet Vinaigrette. The wine pairing for this was a white wine called Evolution No. 9. The entrée was grilled swordfish with vegetalbe (I think this is supposed to be vegetable but this is the way it was spelled on the menu
) pearl pasta, and red pepper coulis. The wine was a Meursault Louis Jadot.
As much as my novice pallet could tell, I would say the wines matched the food very well. I typically dont like merlot, but it went quite well with my DWs lamb (which was very good).
The deserts were to die for as they say. We ordered a couple of desserts which we saw on another table. One was a lemon meringue and the other was a chocolate. The presentations were fantastic. I dont even know what they are called since we said we wanted what was served to the other table. Here are the picutres.
This was about as near a perfect dinning experience as you can have. We were even able to see some of the fireworks from MK. The waiter kept on mentioning the fireworks to the kids at the next table but I was skeptical. I couldnt even see the castle. But they actually shoot off the fireworks about ¾ of a mile behind the castle which lined up pretty well with our view.
