Well, let me just say that I was really impressed with all of the food that we ate at WDW! I just got home tonight and I already am craving more! The cast was myself, dh, dd9, and dd5. Well, let's just get right to it.
April 14 Liberty Tree Tavern dinner - The food here was wonderful! I was really impressed! The only negative thing that I can say is that our waiter was very business like. He was not rude and was very good, just no personality. I was a little worried about this one because of some of the things I have read about the food, but it was great! The character interaction was wonderful. All of the characters came around twice and my girls just loved it. My favorite meat was the turkey, and of course I loved everything else too. We will repeat this one on our next trip.
April 15 Artist Point - Once again the food was wonderful! Service hear was great! I had the mushroom soup, the pork chop, and coffee two ways for dessert. Dh had the venison spring rolls, the salmon, and I forget what his dessert was. DD9 and DD5 both had the kids salmon and a sundae for dessert. It was all yummo! I will definitely go back!
April 16 Coral Reef lunch - Well, let me just say that the food here was not bad by any means, but it was not the best that I had during our trip. I had the new york strip and the land and sea for appt and then the chocolate wave for dessert. Dh had the tilapia and shrimp for appt and cheesecake for dessert. DD9 had mahi and dd5 had mac and cheese. The service was outstanding, the food was not. But, like I said, it was good, just not great!
April 17 Kona Cafe dinner - I have to say WOW! This was one wonderful meal! The service was great and the food awesome! I had the sticky wings, the pineapple sirlion, and the white choc cheesecake, dh had crab cakes for appt and the scallops and shrimp, and creme brulee for dessert. DD9 had mac and cheese and so did dd5. I was really impressed. This was great food. I wanted to go again on our trip if we could get an adr, but my dh did not want to spend the $.
April 18 CRT lunch - Well, let me start out by saying that this is not worth what they charge. I took my girls to the BBB for their dos before our lunch here and they looked lovely. We had little wait here and our food came out quickly. I had the sandwhich and dh had the salmon, dd 9 had chicken, and dd5 had mini hot dogs. Myself and dh had a new dessert that they are serving now. It was like a brownie cupcake with creamcheese in the middle with chocolate shavings and icecream. It was very tasty. The food was good, however, the character interaction was lacking. All of the princess were acting as if they would rather be somewhere else. Snow White was the nicest. We had Snow White, Belle, and Jasmine, and the Fairy Godmother. The Fairy Godmother was nice, but she is not a princess. We probably won't be back here. Not worth the $. Better character interaction at LTT.
April 19 LeCellier dinner - This meal was also very good. It was not as good as I expected it to be however. The service was okay but not great. The waitress kept taking our silverware away with the dishes. Anyways, I had the cheese soup for app and the mushroom filet with creamcheese mashed potatoes, and dh had the shrimp for app and the barbecue filet with potatoes, dd9 had the kids steak, which she loved! DD5 had pasta with sauce. For dessert, I had the chocolate mouse and dh had the smores, kids had icecream sundaes. We would go back here, but it was not as good as I expected it to be.
April 20 Ohana dinner - One of the best meals of the trip! This was a wonderful meal! The only problem was that I was not that hungry so I could not eat as much as I wanted to. The steak and the pork was some of the best I have ever tasted. It was tender and juicy! I loved the potatoes too! The dessert was one of the best I had all week! The kids got to do the hula and parade around the room. We will go back here on our next trip!
April 21 Crystal Palace Lunch - This was a wonderful way to end our trip. We got chosen to be the family of the day!!! My girls were just thrilled to death. We got to do the rumbly in my tumbly dance with Pooh outside the restaurant and then Pooh took my girls by the hand and led them inside for pictures. Then he took us to our table, which was decorated with confetti and there was a plate with 4 biscuits and honey in the middle waiting for us as a gift from Pooh! We also received a certificate signed by Pooh to take with us! This was a magical end to our trip! The food and service were both great and we will go back here!
