Ohana- We ate dinner here on 5/11. We had a 500 ps and showed up 15 min early to a huge line of people checking in. The line went quickly and we were called within 10 minutes. we had a wonderful table for 2 right at the window with a perfect view of the castle and also the fire pit in the restaurant. The food was wonderful- but way too much appetizers for 2 people. We took 2 pieces off the skewers the first time they came around and that was enough. My husband didnt like the idea of peeling his own shrimp so I got his too. Mmmmm. Loved everything. Couldnt believe they made fun of us for not eating more, there is just sooo much food. The pineapple at the end was wonderful and my husband loved the hot washcloths they bring you. We finished in time to go downstairs and see the 600 torch lighting/ fire dancer ceremony in the front of the resort. Excellent! Then we hopped on the monorail for EMH night at the MK. Great night!
Sci-Fi- We ate lunch here on 5/12. We had a 315 PS but the place was mostly empty. Regardless, they seem to fill one car at a time, even if other cars are empty. So a family of 4 was seated and then we hitchhiked the back seat. Our waiter was on skates and hewas very funny. he would speak along with the movie and scream in mock horror with it too. I had a mushroom swiss burger with an oreo milkshake- both were delicious and I usually dont like burgers. the shake was INCREDIBLE. My husband had the bbq chicken sandwich and it was very unmemorable and dry. Very fun atmosphere, just stick with burgers and shakes.
Restaurant Marrakesh- We had lunch here on 5/13. I had the lunch special for 17.99 which was beef roll, jasmina salad, 2 chicken kabab skewers, rice, and apple crepes with almonds and honey. My husband had the beef shish kabobs. My food was very good (MUCH better than the morrocan counter service, Tangerine Cafe, that we also ate at during the week and didnt like)
The service however was less than steller. We got water when we sat down and it NEVER got refilled. We asked once and they never did. we asked again and finally got water. Then we had to listen to our waitress and busser get in a loud squabble in Morrocan just 2 tables down (over the water issue we think). Anyway, we also had a slight language barrier when ordering and she brought out an addtional appetizer we didnt want and seemed very upset when we told her we didnt want it. the belly dancer and musicians were WONDERFUL and so was the food. Lunch prices are much better than dinner and the lunch special is an amazing bargain.
Crystal Palace- Ate breakfast here on 5/14 and loved it. Especially liked the breakfast lasagna. saw all the characters and finished breakfast within 40 minutes. Food was hot and tasty, and they had soft crossaints and lots of fresh fruit. Also loved the puffed cinnamon sugar french toast. They made a big deal out of our anniversary with mickey confetti shaped into a heart on our table and lots of streamers. All the characters kissed my hand and we were brought a magical moment certificate signed by all the characters.
For counter service we loved the Flame Tree BBQ ribs platter at AK and Pecos Bills Cafe fixins bar at MK. We LOVED the schoolbread in Norway and Dolewhip floats in adventureland. We had good breakfasts at the food court at POR.
We were not impressed with the crepes in France or the lamb/chicken platter at Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco. Also the Land bakery had very dry pastries for breakfast.
Hope this helps anyone planning. Ask any questions, I'd love to help!
