Here's a quick overview of our recent dining experience, feel free to ask any questions.

Counter Service:

Sunshine Seasons - Loved this place so much we ate here twice. Excellent food, good portions and great selections ~ A+

Tusker House - Another great counter service choice. We had lunch here and were so impressed we tried breakfast later in the week. Both were great ~ A+

Columbia Harbor House - A sentimental favorite. Great fresh food and it's so nice to eat upstairs. ~ A+

Backlot Express - I am always leery about counter service at MGM, but I fell in love with the vegetable sandwich, YUM! ~ A+

Beach Club Marketplace - Food was ok, a bit of a disappointment after the other wonderful meals. ~ C

Table Service:

Kona Cafe - Dinner. Service was great as was the food. ~ A

Alfredo's - Dinner. Service was good, food was average. My alfredo could've been warmer. The Bellini's were great. ~ B

Chef's de France - Dinner. To think I was worried about Alfredo's tables being on top of one another, this place was much worse. My DH felt that we were eating with with family next to us. I swear there was no more than 10" between our tables. Anyway the food was great and service wonderful. ~ B+

Rose & Crown - Dinner. I think I would've enjoyed it more if it wasn't so dang windy and cool out. They were going to seat us on the lower area but I asked to be seated in the upper, at least there was plastic to cut down on the wind there. We both enjoyed our food, service was spotty. ~ C

Yacht Club Galley - Dinner. Food was average, service was iffy at best. Took our server 15 minutes to bring back our receipt. ~ C

Coral Reef - Dinner. OMG, I loved this place! We requested and received a table by the tanks. The service was amazing and the food; all I can say is fabulous! This place is our new favorite. A +++++++++++++++

Thanks for the reviews and the Coral Reef - we were unsure about the Coral Reef but decided to try it on our next adventure. Thanks

Our server brought out a basket of warm rye bread. We ordered two glasses of wine.

Appetizers:

Me- Shrimp Cocktail. Large size perfectly firm (I hate mushy shrimp) served in a martini glass with a wonderful sauce with just enough bite to enhance the flavor of the shrimp superbly.

DH - Caesar Salad. He originally wanted the rock shrimp with it but they were out and were substituting it with scallops. He loved the combo.

Main Course:

We both had the salmon. It was prepared just right. Seared to hold in the natural juices, mild and flavorful. It was served on top of roasted potatoes and greens with a garlic dressing. All the flavors and textures complimented each other beautifully.

Dessert:

We were going to originaly skip dessert but our server recommended the chocolate wave cake. This has to be the best dessert I have ever had. Dark chocolate cake with a warm center that just oozed out. I would've licked the plate but there were divers in the tank waving at us.

I second how fabulous Coral Reef is! We had the catfish and the grouper and both were delicious!
