Two adults early 50s.

I was reading posts for weeks and just couldn't imagine how there could be enough food for me (a big eater) with just 1 table service and 1 counter service per day. But I found out real fast. I completely agree with previous posters. More than enough food.

We were on the dining plan and had wonderful meals and service. We planned on giving extra tip for good service and did so in 6 out of 7 meals. Only out of pocket spent in 7 days was $4.00 for a piece of apple strudel.
(And 11.99 for 1 mug)
Brought home 3 muffins, 3 drinks, and 6 rice krispie treats.

Shared breakfasts at Riverside Mill. Western omlett with potatoes and biscuit, chocolate milk, muffin and coffee. Breakfast food was consistantly good and portions large enough to share.

Shared lunches- Tusker house(Great!), 2x Pepper Market, Seasons, 2x Riverside Mill, Cosmic Rays. Only fair meal was hamburger and fries at Riverside Mill. All other lunches were very good.

Table Service:

9/24 Maya Grill Excellent food. Service Very Good
9/25 Kona Cafe Excellent food. Service Very Good
9/27 Concourse Steakhouse Very Good Food. Service Excellent

9/28 Mitsukoshi Teppanyaki This was the only disappointing meal. The waitress was not very pleasant and the food choices were fair. We were only allowed to have the salad for app and only allowed ice cream for desert. Also the menu was changed from the menu we recently read. The chef that prepared our meal was excellent. He was the best part of the meal experience. This is the night I had to buy desert in Germany because I was still hungry when we left dinner.

9/28 Rose & Crown Pub Very Good Food. Service Excellent
9/29 Le Cellier Steakhouse EXCELLENT food. Service Excellent
9/30 Maya Grill Excellent food. Service Very Good.

This was the best disney vacation ever. Dining plan was wonderful.

Am I correct in understanding that you were given these very limited choices because you were on the dining plan? That doesn't seem right to me. Disney markets the dining plan as encompassing over a 100 restaurants, not as a limited menu choice options. I can understand that a few of the extremely large or expensive items may not be allowed on the dining plan, but allowing only a salad for an appetizer and ice-cream for desert does not seem reasonable to me.

Enjoyed reading your reviews ~ Thanx for posting.

At Teppanyaki the waitress asked if anyone was on the dining plan. Then she said we could only order the salads and the ice cream.

At Teppanyaki the menu was changed a little from the menu posted on allearsnet. The specialty menu items are gone and now there are add ons instead, which are not included in the dining plan. Anyway that is what we were told.

Le Cellier had surf & turf special and our waitress recommended it! She said it was wonderful and we should order it. We did and it was PERFECT.

I had smoothies as a beverage in Kona, Concourse Steakhouse, and Rose & Crown. Didn't ask as Maya or Le Cellier , and was told no at Teppanyaki.

Had the salmon at Seasons. Was very good, and they allowed any desert.
