4/27 Thursday This was our night at the Hoop Dee Doo Review. This was the most memorable meal of our trip for me!!! Not the tastiest, just the most fun. DGS 3, was chosen to be one of the audience participants on stage. We had a table right at the stage next to the piano. One of the actresses, Claire De Lune, struck up a conversation with DGS and he fell in love
He did a great job, remember he is only 3 and the cutest 3 yo ever (Grandma's out there understand) I have memories for a lifetime.
Dinner was good. The loaves of warm bread and honey butter on the table when we sat down were good. The salad was good and the dressing was tasty. The ribs were moist and really tasty, the Fried Chicken good, if a little dry. The Corn on the Cob was good. I was too busy watching the "show" but the kids loved the Strawberry Shortcake. This is a must do for what it is. A dinner show with fun, corny entertainment and okay to good food.
4/28 Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Package.
We tried all week to change this ADR. None of us was excited about eating here and it met our expectations. It was by far, the worst meal of our trip. It was noisy and crowded and we were surrounded by dirty, non-busssed tables. I thought the buffet was not good. The only thing I really enjoyed, other than the salads, was the mashed potatoes. The flank steak tasted "funny". It has a good make your own ice cream dessert area, but this was the only good thing about this experience. I will not go back.
4/29 Our last night. We added an ADR to Jiko's while we were there. It was wonderful. I had been hestitant about eating here, silly me.
I am not sure I remember what everyone had, but everyone loved it. The ambience was wonderful, it was pretty and quiet, and our server was outstanding.
I started with the Bacon and Argula Flatbread - Outstanding
DS and DIL also had appetizers they enjoyed.
I had the Filet and Mac 'n Cheese. I had seen pictures on the Food Porn thread and I really looked forward to this entree. The filet was to die for, but the Mac 'n Cheese was cool. I was disappointed and should have sent it back. The flavor was good, but it wasn't even warm. I fiinished with the Apple Spring Roll - Wonderful. I totally enjoyed Jiko's (I wish I remember what everyone else ate, but maybe it was the bottle of wine we shared
)
It has now gone on my list of "Must Do's)
Counter Service we enjoyed include:
Peco Bill's - Usual Burger and Fries and Toppings Bar
Pizzafari, I never tried this before and I was pleased. We were able to add side salads to our pizza and share.
Tangerine Cafe in Morrocco. I have never tried this before and the Lamb Sandwich was great DS and DIL enjoyed platters very much.
Columbia Harbour House, a very tasty Tuna Sandwich and a nice change of pace from chicken fingers and burgers.
Cosmic Rays Good food for Counter Service.
Captain Cook's Fair, I hope the renovations make this a better place to eat.
I don't remember where we ate at MGM.
Hope these reviews have helped others.
Please let me know if there are any questions
Thanks
