Last year we stayed in a BWV Studio for 10 days and made dining reservations one at a time, starting 180 days out. In the middle of this process, the CM I was making a ressie with told me that as a holder of a DVC reservation, I could have made all the dining reservations when we hit the 180 day mark for our day of arrival, even though the dates for day 2 through 10 were more that 180 days away at that point. Anyone know if this is true?

Thanks,

Yes, it is true for any WDW resort guest, DVC or not. Happy planning!

I don't know if the 180+10 ADR policy is still in effect at all, DVC or regular CRO. You might want to post your question over on the Disney Restaurants board. If they allow it for cash reservation, they will allow it for DVC reservations.

It is, in fact, still in effect...or was on July 9th, when we called for ALL our ADR's for an upcoming January trip.

Just to clarify for the OP:

Disney resort guests can book ADR's, counting from date of Arrival, 180+10 days in advance.

In other words, if your trip is 10 days or less in length, you can make ALL your ADR's at 180days prior to the date of your checkin. If your trip is LONGER than 10 days, you'll need to make the adr's for AFTER your 10th day on subsequent days (ADR's for day 11 the day AFTER you make all your other ADR's, for example).

Edited because pilferk has up to date info.

I just made my reservations yesterday for January and discovered that I could make all my reservations at once, it was a very nice surprise since I was planning on calling each day this week, now I don't have to. She told me that it's one of the perks of staying at one of the Disney resorts. I'm excited I received every reservation I wanted as well as the time I asked for.

I was able to book mine ADRs in one call as well for January - but I had to find my reservation number to do it since he said they don't have DVC reservations in their system or something. Enjoy!

Yup, we had to provide the same thing (our confirmation number). The CM said they COULD look it up, but if we had it (we did...compulsive planners) it would be much quicker to provide it.

It was funny to see our ADR confirmation numbers, too. In the time we called (at opening exactly 180+10), in the 15 or 20 min it took to make ALL our ADR's, they went through something like 900 ADR's (assuming they increment by one). I would bet that's a LOT of CRT ressies (we weren't looking for one. :) ).

It is interesting to see the progression of numbers. I've always made the vast majority of our dining reservations in one call since it was an option...maybe around 20 years now. In the old days, the reservations might be only a few digits away from each other. Over the years, it has really changed.

I don't call first thing in the am though.
