Dining reservations

What restaurants would need a reservation besides Blue Bayou? Any others that would be hard to walk up to??

ETA: There are 3 of us and would be next week during the week.

Carnation Cafe is pretty small, so if you want to eat there, especially at a prime meal time, I'd make a reservation.

You can get into Cafe Orleans and the Big Thunder BBQ without one, but you might have to wait a bit. I have found that it's easier to change times or cancel your reservation than it is to add one later.

In DCA if you want to go to Ariel's Grotto you'll probably need one too.

We always find it best to set ressies....you can always make changes to them or cancel if need be.

You're going right after the Little Mermaid & Star Tours open, so chances are, it will be busy. So being able to go up & check in & getting the next available table for your party size is much better than standing around waiting.

Carnation Cafe, Plaza Inn, Cafe Orleans, Wine Country Trattoria, Ariel's Grotto in the parks. Character Meals, Resort Restaurants (Storytellers, Napa Rose, PCH Grill, Steakhouse) & even DTD restaurants are advised to have ressies.

When we went to Ariel's for the WOC meal they were telling people that they were closed for walk-ins. If you want Ariel's or WCT I would strongly urge a reservation. If you want prime meal times anywhere it's a good idea too.

The only time we ever tried to eat at Rainforest it was an hour wait.

A number of the DTD restaurant ressies are made thru Disney Dining....so 60 days out. The only one I know for sure is not made thru Disney Dining is the Rainforest Cafe.

Thank you!!! I never thought about making reservations at DTD but its a great idea too bc it will be packed and getting seated will be so hard without one.

Any that will take a ressie. Even if it's a last minute decision, I will call for a ressie. I've even called while in a queue for an attraction! I do it during low season as well

Lately the Big Thunder Ranch BBQ has been running a wait for lunch after 12:15 or so, and for dinner after 5:00. Make a reservation, and save yourself the wait time.

Require.....no, suggest (especially if you're there during a busy time of year)....yes.

Ressies can be made thru Disney Dining.
