Dining Reservations

FYI!
I was just checking on one of my ADR's for Thanksgiving week and OMG after typing in my reservation #, nothing came up. I then tried another of my #'s and OH NO, nothing.
I called. Waited on hold for 14 minutes. That was clue that something was going on.
I got a lovely CM, Amber. She said that they have done an upgrade to the system. Something went wrong and we can no longer see our reservations online. However, after giving her my #'s, Amber verified that my reservations do still exist. WHEW!
She said that they are working on the problem and we should be able to see our reservations online again in a day or 2.
She apoligized for the long wait time. She said that they are just flooded with panic phone calls right now.
Can you imagine having her job today?
 
As a part of a software development team, unfortunately yes... I can. ;) It seems like there is always some unexpected hiccup with every major release. This is a pretty major hiccup though... I can't believe that wasn't part of their test plan!
 
There was a notice earlier in the week that the entire reservation system (dining included) would be down for several days. Very un-Disney like; but, at least they announced it ahead of time.
 
Yes, but they did say that everything would back up on th 14th.
The system is back up, but apparently not working properly on the online side.
At least all of our reservations have not been lost!, so in the long run it is really no big deal.
It just gave me a moment of panic.
