when calling in for reservations should you include an infant in the number of people attending the meal.
 
Yes, they count infants for party number ("table for #" for example) but not for billing purposes.

Case in point, two parents, two six-yr-olds, and an infant on a reservation for CRT is a party of five. The bill will be for two adults and two children.
 
My understanding is they count heads. I think that just makes it easier for them all the way around.
 
If you are a table with 2 adults and 2 children, and you don't count the infant, they will reserve you a table for 4. Then you show up with the infant and they need room for a high chair, they will have to scramble around and find you a table for six.....or you would have to wait for a table for six to open up.
