OK...one more!!

How far out do you think I should book dining for our 12th April trip??

Wouldn't want to miss anything.

Can I book a birthday cake on the same number?

:worship:

You can book from two months before, which I suppose means any time from now. It depends how busy it's going to be - I've never been in April but I think you are going in the Easter holidays. Apart from our first ever trip (when we floated in with no reservations and were totally fine) I'm a bit of a compulsive advance booker, and is part of the fun of preparing to go for us! (Nothing like waiting for the phone lines to open for the Princess Breakfast in WDW though!):scared1:

We booked a birthday cake for our next trip - although did it on the general reservations line rather than the dining reservation one. We paid over the phone (which I think works out cheaper than waiting until you are there, especially with the pound/euro rate) and had to say where and when we wanted it -also let dining know. We get a voucher and confirm this on check in at the hotel.

They also have started giving booking numbers for dining (like wdw) rather than just taking your name.

Hope you have a fab trip.

We have been at the very busiest times of year (up to 2 days before Christmas, Halloween, August etc) but have never got around to booking our meals until the week before we go. We have always got the times and restaurants we wanted.

The one exception to this I would advise is if booking a special event meal (i.e Mickey's Wonderful Christmas Party) which we booked as soon as it was advertised. Just a few weeks later they had sold out for the night we were going.

I will be there then too! I'm planning on booking mine next weekend as i like to have meals sorted so we can concentrate on fun in the parks.
I will be there from 8th to the 13th so I expect the crowds to build throughout our visit and particularly over the weekend.
I'll look out the cheap rate connection service number I use and post it here later.

That is great, thank you all.

I will probably go ahead and book soon. Makes it all seem real :wizard: !

Do you know if I pay when I book or at the restaurant?

Thanks thanks thanks.

When you get there - which is all to the good. If you don't feel like eating or fancy eating somewhere else, there is no loss of money (although it would be nice to let the restaurant know, of course!)
Exception may be Buffalo Bill.
