Dining reservations, what if whole party doesn't show up?

Has anyone had a problem if they make the dining reservation for more people than actually show up to dinner? Do they charge you for the people that didn't show? I don't think so, but I want to make sure because we might have another family joining us on this trip, and want to be covered with the reservations. Thanks!

I think that it depends on what dinner it's for. For example, if it's one of the dining packages for Fantasmic! or World of Color, then you should probably expect to be charged full price for the no shows (about $60/adult for Blue Bayou Fantasmic! dinner package). I'm not sure about a regular dinner reservation, though.

If you are off by 1 or 2, you should be ok. If you are missing half your party, expect to be charged.

I made a res for 12 at Carnation back in May. I had planned a meet-up of 8-9 people from a Facebook community I'm in, and some wanted +1's. Well most of them bailed or looked at the menu before we were seated and decided nothing sounded good. It ended up just being 5 of us, which I explained to the hosts. I was not charged for cancellations, but YMMV.

We had one breakfast where DH slept in so we were down one, but did not get charged. This was at Hollywood and Vine.
