Hi All,

I should know this but here goes---can I make dining reservations form my whole trip 180 days before check in. For instance-I'm checking in December 9, 2018. Can I book a dining reservation for December 12, 2018 on June 9, 2018?

It's a 180 + 10 days before your trip. So once June 9th rolls around, you can reserve anything from your check-in date and up to 10 days after it.

Garebear is correct as long as you are staying on site(guessing you are) - if not you have to make one day at a time. Just an FYI - your 180 day mark should be June 12th if you are checking in December 9th according to Passporter Calculator - you may have just been estimating in your OP, so ignore if that's the case!

Oh, thanks, I was just counting 6 months, but not every month is 30 days. There are actually 2 reservations I'm coveting-BOG lunch and California Grill for dinner. I've never done either, I think they are both very busy, and the time is busy, so I'll need to set a reminder on my phone so I don't mess it up.

As another post points out, this assumes you are staying on-site.

Also, not all on-site locations are treated the same for 180+10; places like Swan & Dolphin are not given the courtesy of 180+10.

Finally, check the math for 180-days.

Using your example, the calculator I used shows June 12th being 180-days prior to December 9th check-in.

If this were me, I'd check Disney site a day or so prior to June 12th just to be certain.

Thank you for the replies. I have a split BWV/BCV stay. I'll definitely be sending myself a reminder.

Split stays make ADR’s more complicated. You can book at 180 days for the length of your stay, up to 10 days. With a split stay, each is considered separate, so you’ll have two different 180 day dates. At 180 days from the first one, you’ll only be able to book through checkout of that first reservation.

So I get this straight regarding split-stays:

Part 1: Stay 5 days (nights 1-5)
Part 2: Stay 8 days (starting on night 6 onward)

You get 180 days from the start of Part 1 to do all 5 days of part 1, but not beyond.
To do part 2, you need to wait for 180 days prior to the start of Part 2 (i.e. the 6th night).

Am I right?

Sorry, another question, so the 180+10 day thing. Let's say you stay for 14 days, you can only do 1-10 at the 180 day mark, but can you do day 11 on the next day, day 12 on the one after that, etc."

Am I right?
Yes; or almost, at least. Since you can book for check out day, that’s the same as the next check-in day. So you can get a little bit of a head start on that one.

Yes, exactly.

Glad I found this. I was going to ask similar.
We are not staying on site. So we will have to book each day (one day at a time) once 180 days hit?

So (and this is just an example as I am not using a calendar to check the dates yet) - Travel dates Oct 22nd- Nov 2nd.
We can book Oct 22nd reservation on April 22nd, Oct 23rd reservation on April 23rd, Oct 24th reservation on April 24th and so on????

It's 180 days but not exactly 6 months (because not all months are 30 days long) so I think the first date would actually be April 25 or 26 (I can't do math right now). But the concept is still the same, book 180 days each day rolling forward.
