so when is says you can make reservations 60days in advance is that 60 days from each day of your trip? Meaning I will want to log on for 4-5 days in a row to make reservations for each day of our stay? Hope that makes sense!

Also would you recommend world of color or Fantasmic for a 5 year old squirrelly boy lol? I was considering the WOC dessert for our first night there. We will also have 1 year old with us but she is pretty chill if she's in the baby carrier.

We are going December 26-31 so I feel reservations are going to be a must. Will WOC run every night during that time?

We will be there the same time as you :goodvibes. For your dining reservation question, yes you will have to call each day that you want to make reservations. Disneyland does not do it the same way as WDW where you get 180 days plus 10 days if you are staying on property. It is 60 days from each individual day. For your 5 year old, I would think he would like Fantasmic better just because what you will see compared to WOC, however WOC is pretty cool too. We are planning on doing both WOC and Fantasmic dining packages when we go, mainly for the seating and knowing how crowded that time of year will get, I don't want to have to sit for a long period of time just to hold our seats. Either way, have a great trip.

Yes. Every day a new day of reservations open up, so you'll have to make reservations you want each day, starting at 60 days prior.

I can't speak to the dessert party, but my own squirrelly little girl did F! just fine. She had trouble focusing on the projections though and was more interested in the characters, so I probably wouldn't do WoC with her quite yet. We did the Cafe Orleans dining package and arrived at the FP location around 8:15, and she sat until 9 without much issue. I do know that the River Belle Terrace is coming back and you can call and request an 8 PM reservation on the porch and watch the show from there. I would MUCH rather have done this so my legs would have been spared from a slow, painful death from sitting on the ground for over an hour. LOL

I think during peak times, like when you're going, they run all shows every night.

Thank you! My kids are early risers and go to bed by 8 every night but I would like to try and do one later night in the parks a special a family. The other nights by husband and I are going to take turns so each of us gets some alone time on vacation. It sounds like fantasmic might be a better choice.

When is fireworks usually?
