Dining Reservations Question

A short time ago I made several dining reservations for our party of eight. We recently found out that one of our party won't be able to join us on this trip. I went into MDE to take him off the reservations but the system won't let me delete him, just replace him with another guest (which we won't have). So, my question is do I need to call Disney to have him removed or are we okay just leaving the number of guests on the reservations at eight and just show up with seven or would we get charged for the "missing" guest?

You won't be charged so long as at least one person in your party shows up for the reservations. I doubt showing up with seven as opposed to eight changes how the restaurant seats you.

You'll be fine leaving the eighth person on there.

There's a link to change your reservation. Use that to remove him by searching for a smaller party. It should give you the same reservation, but with fewer people.

Don't do anything to change it. I've shown up with 3 for a reservation for 6 a few times (baby nap schedule didn't work out) and not the slightest complaint.

Yeah, I think that's what I'm going to do. I tried supersnoop's suggestion (thanks for the suggestion!) but it wouldn't allow me to keep the same reservations, just offering new times instead. One of our ADRs is for Beaches & Cream and there weren't any alternate times provided. So I think I'll just leave well enough alone and keep things as I originally booked them.
