This is not our first time to Disneyland - or our last time - but I want to make it the BEST time. So.... we have reservations at the following restaurants...

Blue Bayou
Character Breakfast - Plaza Inn - Minnie and Friends
Ariel's Grotto - lunch
Character Breakfast - Storyteller’s Cafe - Chip and Dale
Rainforest Cafe
Cafe Orleans

Aside from those reservations, we plan on hitting as many of these:

Carnation Cafe
Bengal Barbeque
French Market
Pacific Wharf Cafe
Taste Pilot's Grill
Bur-r-r Bank Ice Cream
Rancho del Zocalo - been there, liked it - ok if we miss it this time
Redd Rockett's pizza Port - been there, liked it - ok if we miss it this time

Am I missing anything amazing?

Make a PS for Carnation Cafe. Without one that line to wait can get long fast as there is not alot of seating. Other than that your plan sounds good!

You are missing our favorite character breakfast Mickey's surfs up at the PPH love the mini churros and the chorizo & eggs + the outstanding character interaction.

Sounds yummy.

Instead of Rancho del Zocalo why not do the Veranda Cafe (right by Pirates). We LOVE the gumbo bread bowls there.

A hidden gem is the PCH Grill at the PPH. We go every trip for dinner there......it is quieter (less crowded), wonderful service & excellent food. We went for our 25th Anniversary in 09 & they gave us a card, a special dessert & then brought out a HUGE bouquet of balloons!!! If you have kids, they have make your own pizza which is just tons of fun for them.

Ok will add that one more tomorrow!

haha - I already have 3 character dining meals so don't want to add a 4th.

We love Mexican, so will probably hit Tortilla Joes if we don't hit Rancho del Zocalo (or even if we do - forgot to add that one to the list!)

I did have that on my list as I liked the idea of the kids making their own pizzas... but I axed it because I just have too many restaurants on my list - haha!

I forgot to add I have ESPN Zone and Big thunder ranch BBQ on the hopeful list too.

that is a good list, you have all my favorite places .... :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Great choices!!

We love dining @ Minnie's.
Lunch at Ariel's is another fave.
And Storyteller's is probably DS fave C M and DD's 2nd fave ~ DD & I usually share the french toast or pancakes, DS get the buffet.
DD & I dined at Cafe Orleans for the 1st time last July - it was fantastic! Get the Pomme Frites and the La Salade de Maison was divine!
Blue Bayou is pretty much an always for us.

For C S we like the fried chicken at The Plaza *enough to share* and WWS *I see those 2 didn't make your list.

I would say attempt to hit up the Lucky Fortune Cookie if you can!!! It's in the same small plaza as Pacific Wharf Cafe and it's really good Asian food :thumbsup2 The portions are quite big too, as I can only eat about 2/3 or 1/2 of mine :rotfl:

Not a fan of French Market but I put in a vote for Riverbelle Terrace. Their sandwiches are really good. The turkey sandwiches are made with real, carved turkey breast, not deli meat so I feel like i'm eating real food. :thumbsup2 It's a little pricey ( around $12-$13 for the sandwich) but it comes with choice of one side plus beans and pickle spear and DH and I were able to split it so the price wasn't too bad.

Also, one of my favorite things is a BBQ chicken baked potato at Troubadour Tavern.

I agree, make reservations for Carnation Cafe and also Big Thunder Ranch BBQ. You can always cancel your reservation if it doesn't look like you'll make it to the BBQ place but it will help speed things along.

Great List. :thumbsup2

Sounds like you're like me......eating your way thru DLR. :lmao:

But...but......no Corny Dogs !!!! ????? :scared1: (or churros ?? :hippie:)

:)

We are having Breakfast at The Plaza already so didn't want to go there twice.... and WWS is on my list, but I didn't post it here. We are staying at the GCH so I know we'll hit WWS a few times!

Never heard of this place! But my kids are picky eaters, so not sure they would be thrilled with asian food....

Will have to look this place up. :)

And this one too

I agree, make reservations for Carnation Cafe
I will do that tonight!

and also Big Thunder Ranch BBQ
This was on the list under Carnation, but I'm not sure if I have enough meals left at this point - haha!

But...but......no Corny Dogs !!!! ????? (or churros ??)
They are on the list! Didn't put the smaller ones down, but here is the rest:

Wetzels Pretzels – Downtown Disney - Pizza pretzel w/ marinara
Little Red Wagon – Disneyland - Main Street – Corn Dogs
Marcelines Confectionery - cupcake sampler or fudge
Churros!
Disneyland Popcorn
Whitewater snacks - Nachos
funnel cakes
Frozen bananas
Kettle Corn cart outside World of Disney
Tigger Tails

Big Thunder Ranch Barbecue is not the same as Bengal Barbecue. The Ranch is a table service restaurant with all you can eat ribs, chicken, ranch beans, cole slaw, corn bread - and after 4:00 for the dinner menu they add smoked sausage to the meats and corn on the cob wheels to the sides. Live entertainment all day long.

It has become very popular, so reservations are a good idea on the weekends or holidays as wait times are often 45 minutes to an hour or more, especially during the lunch and dinner peak periods.

Wow that is a long list! How long are you going for? I have one full service meal booked for each day of our trip (except one) and I thought I was going a bit nuts lol! There's quite a few other places I'd like to eat too - maybe I can fit them in after all :)

Please excuse my ignorance here, but what is a funnel cake?

Yes I know. I didn't mean physically next on my list. I meant the next on my list that I was going to make reservations for. :) But I have since axed that idea, and will perhaps hit BTRB on another visit.

Consider Ralph Brennan's Jazz Kitchen. We tried it this last trip (because of Disboard recommendations of course) and loved it. Food was really good and they had live entertainment.
By the way, You'll love GCH! One tip though, if you're thinking of Whitewater snacks for breakfast (when you're not having Character breakfasts) allow a lot of time. Their method of cooking to order (slowly) doesn't work that well in the AM when its busy. We ended up going to Jamba Juice in downtown Disney for steel cut oatmeal and smoothies instead and it was quick and healthy:)

Not sure the ages of everyone but our favorite lunch spot is Storyteller. Nothing better then a nice glass of wine and good cobb salad or Charred Nebraska Corn Chowder. Love to take a minute and regroup in the mist of a hectic treat filled day. They also have make your own pizza for the kids.

6 nights. I know - it's crazy! I am laughing at home much I think we're going to be eating the whole week! hahaha! I love food!

Is it ok for kids?

Good tip! Was thinking of sending dh down to grab something to bring up while I/we get ready on a few mornings....

Ugh. Hate to say it but I don't think that gumbo's very good. The gumbo at CO and BB is far, far better.
