Dining Reservations issues today

Is anyone else having difficulty making dining reservations on the MDE site?

I've called tech support twice and they can't seem to figure out the problem. Today is day 180 (we're staying at Poly 8/16-8/22). It will only let me book for the first day and not for the whole trip.

When I called to make reservations the customer service person insisted that I was outside the 180 days, until I explained the policy to her, as I understand it, which says I can make reservations for the whole stay.

Anyone have any clue what's going on? Its very frustrating to have to call every time I want to book something.
 
YES!!! I was only booking for one ressie for next week, but it gave me the time I wanted and then glitched. When I called the reservation number they said they didn't know what was going on. In the past I was told that if you click a time and something happens it may not release for 15-45 minutes, but this woman insisted someone else got it. To me it seems as if they may have some new people not fully trained. I did check back an hour later and the time popped back up, and I was able to get it that time. If I were you I would call back and try to speak with someone else. You are correct that you should be able to book your entire stay today. Is your reservation linked in the MDE account you are using? I would also try to sign out and sign back in. Crazy little things that sometimes work. Good luck!!

My reservation is linked. The first tech support person (both of the ones I spoke with were fantastic even though they couldn't fix the problem) tried unlinking and re-linking and that didn't work. :( I feel like I've been doing these reservations all day!! Thankfully I got all of the high ticket ones that were non-negotiable on the phone first thing this morning with no problems

I really just want to browse and change reservations because I love to change my mind
 
That's what I am doing today....only 1 week until arrival! Good luck with the rest. Hopefully it will get better!!
 

The system has been terrible this week. Ive been dipping in and out as our window opens next Tuesday, anything around 12noon - 3pm has been playing up
 
This past Tuesday was my 180 mark and the Disney website was having problems then too.
I was only able to make one reservation online - I had to call to make the rest of them.
 
The same thing happened to me back in December. Trying to make ADR's for our entire trip didn't work online, I ended up calling. I got the times/restaurants I wanted, but it was such a pain not being able to get it done online.

Online at 6 AM able to book one breakfast ressie, called at 7 AM, able to book one dinner ressie thru the recording system, then it hung up on me. I called back and they were able to book all of mine...until their system shut down & was not able to put my credit card info in. So I quickly wrote down my Conf #'s before they disappeared on MDE. Good thing I did this, bc I was told to call back an hour later once the system was working. All my ressies showed as cancelled... They were able to rebook them all and process the credit card hold this time. THREE Hours later I had all my ressies. They need to fix their online system.. Like everyone says on here all the time.

So frustrating!! But I have to say I'm always impressed with the people on the phone. I've only had 1 who didn't seem knowledgeable and accommodating

Today was our 180 day. Wouldn't you know it, my dd was sick overnight. I was able to make our first day(Aug 17) but for the rest kept saying sorry try to call. I was able to call and make all our ADR's (even BOG for the first time) but had to do it twice since the computer froze for the agent I was speaking to and had to do everything again. Whew, I finally book everything, but now(of course) I am thinking of changing our plans.

I ended up calling tech support for the third time and letting them know the problem was definitely the day 180 thing. He couldn't fix it but filled out a "ticket" whatever that means and said someone might be getting back to me about it. Told me it doesn't happen often but he has heard of it before. I would recommend calling MDE tech support, they are very helpful.

He did insist that it wouldn't effect the fastpass reservations in the future... but I'm skeptical.

Once I was at 180 days on our last day there, I had no trouble switching things around. So if you need to switch, just wait until the date passes.
