Dining reservations for AK at closing time?

Hi all.

I'm looking to make dinner reservations for Yak & Yeti at Animal Kingdom for dinner. I know the park closes at 5pm the day i'm looking to book. So if I book a table for say, 4.30pm, will that be a problem if we're still eating when the park closes? Also, will the Disney shuttle buses still operate after the park has closed? I imagine we'll be needing a bus for about 6pm, but don't want to leave it so late that the buses have stopped coming!

Shoot, I'm glad you asked! It hadn't occurred to me that we might have bus trouble. We have ADRs for Rainforest Cafe at AK at 5:30 and the park closes at 5. We probably won't be ready to leave till at least 7.

Can someone verify if there will be busses then???

No the buses are limited but they are there waiting on you after the AK closes .. In fact the Bus Driver was so nice (we were only one's on the bus) He actually took us back to our Resort the Contemporay . we did not have to transfer - He even teased us where had we been & why were we late --- They know people eat at the Rainforest Cafe- Oh it was fun there too and cool gift shop .

We had reservations at Y&Y on our trip in January on a AK EMH evening night. We made the reservation between 7:45 PM and 8:00 PM. The park closed at 8:00. We ate (and loved it) and walked back to the bus (there was one waiting that took to several different places. It was kind of cook to be in AK literally by yourself with the exception of a few CM's. We are going to try this in December, but I have to wait until Friday to try to book!

The buses run for up to 2 hours after the park closes and go to all the resorts-so no problem there. enjoy your dinner
