Dining Reservations early for resort guests?

Today marks 62 days before the start of my trip. Sadly, even after I log into the Disneyland website where it shows my 7 day Disney Hotel reservation, I can't see restaurant availability for more 60 days out. Is this perk not a West Coast Disney thing? At WDW I can reserve for my entire trip 60 days before the first day of my resort stay.

(Also, if anyone has advice for snagging Carthay Cirle, let me know!)

You have to book every day instead of all at once. If you are of the WDW mindset and book first thing in the morning every morning, you should be able to book Carthay Circle. I had no problems getting any reservations for my trip and was able to get my desired times for almost everything. This is our first trip to DLR so I booked a lot of the main restaurants. My recommendation is to check before 6am PST to see if you can book a reservation. I was able to book a few as early as 7am EST.

yeah when they announced EMH that starts in the next couple days they also announced some sort of benefit for getting ADR's for Hotel guests but they just said "coming soon"

Although it is stated that reservations open 6AM Pacific. I did all mine at 6AM Eastern. Including Carthay.

Ah the magic of Disney IT....The daily awakening at 3am just to see if it opened "early" and the excitement of a 5:45a alarm to see if it opened a little early and then waiting until 6:15a for the thing I wanted to finally open....I'm glad this torture is over until October for our December trip....

If the 60 days plus the length of your stay is a thing in the DLR (and I'm not sure that's what they are planning) It will be a welcomed addition! It makes WDW planning so much less of a hassle, so I'm sure DLR won't mess it up...:) I bet it's a few reservations held back as a ploy to assuage those who aren't as 60-day obsessive or book a reservation in the 60-day window. Just like what happened to the park reservation bucket as it is now generally available for resort guests all the time after complaints (legitimate) from those staying at the big-3.
