We have found the FP+ system to be more relaxing
we have been able to do days like
- Rope Drop, ride standby for a headliner, do other attractions
- enjoy our meal, and schedule an attraction right before or right after our meal or both
- get out of the park at the busier/hotter hours and enjoy the resort
- go back in the evening, ride a second headliner with FP+ (and a second attraction if you have a FP+ left), and enjoy the evening spectacular
it's a different way of touring, and since you'll no longer be allowed to book FPs for the "big" rides (no Test Track + Soarin' ticket anymore)
But, with this system, we were able to do everything at the right time.
RD = empty park, walk on rides (or very little wait)
time our meals with our FP+ so we don't have to worry that we'll miss a return window or take the risk of being late with a hungry kid in tow.
Afternoons at the resort when everybody's packed inside parks
evenings at the parks with a big ride when it was almost impossible to do it before you could book it in advance and choose your time.
all in all, it was a better experience than what we were used to.
It's true, we rode less rides, but we took our time, enjoyed things another way, and got to enjoy the best of both worlds (parks and resort)
this system may not suit everybody, but it sure allowed for a very relaxed pace during the 3 weeks we spent in Florida (of course, staying there for 3 weeks will allow a slow pace, when a short stay will not)
