I'm new at this and was hoping to get some expert advice. My dh and I are taking my DD4 for her first Disneyworld trip in October. We are staying offsite. Can I still made ADR's at 180 days out or is that only for resort guests? Thank you all for the help.

You can make reservations 180 days out (or less) from each day that you want to dine.

So if you want to eat on September 1, 2, and 3 - you would need to either make 3 separate calls (or go online 3 days in a row), or else you can wait until 180 days from the LAST day you want to dine, and make them all at one time.

Thank you so much for the info. I am hoping to get reservations to at least one of the princess character meals and I want to be prepared to try to get them the second they become available. I'm even going to recruit some family members to call in hopes that someone gets them. I figure the more fingers dialing the better chance we have.

Most people who want a Princess meal eventually get a reservation, but it's possible it won't be on your 180th day.

You will be able to call or go online on your 180th day, but there is an advantage for people who are staying onsite. They are able to make reservations for 180 + 10 meaning on their 180th day, they can book meals for the first ten days of their vacation. For example, if their check in day is Sept 1 they will be able to make reservations through Sept 10 all at once. This means that it is sometimes harder for offsite people to get their reservations even on their 180th day, especially for very popular restaurants.

If you aren't able to get your first choice right away, it's disappointing, but keep checking online because people change their minds all the time and openings come up regularly, especially for the princess meals because it requires a credit card guarantee. People will cancel if they change their minds so that their credit card isn't charged.

Also online booking starts at 6 AM Orlando time and calling isn't until 7 AM so you would get a little more headstart if you try online.

I am staying off site too. I have been waking up at 6 am every morning this week to make my reservations for each day of my trip. I was able to get 1900 Fare, Akershus, and Cinderella's Royal Table and I have 11 people in my party (all princess dinings). You should be fine on the 180 day mark. I did do them online.

Wow! That's fantastic and it gives me hope. I would so love us to be able to get into Cinderella's castle. My DD will never want to leave. It is her first trip and I am trying to make it as special as possible. I'm also thinking about doing the Princess Tea Party at the GF on our final day there before we go to the airport. Has anyone been? Is it worth the $$$? Thanks again for all your responses.
