Hi All - we live in California and if I'm reading the comments correctly, I need to book for cool restaurants (like Oga's Cantina) 60 days out at 3am PST. So, yuck, lol, but with that said (and assuming it's correct) can you tell me any other very cool restaurants and times that are worth getting up to try and book? This is a "return" trip for my elderly brother and myself - just one day. We are pretty flexible on the Oga's time, so the other(s) could be for any meal. Any suggestions appreciated!! Thanks!

There are many good food choices - it really depends on what kind of food and experience you are looking for. Blue Bayou can offer some unique experiences with the ambiance, but Cafe Orleans is also lovely. Carnation Cafe is a great place for lunch, and River Belle Terrace has some interesting options as well.

I believe it's actually 6 am pacific for DL. It's 3 am pacific for WDW (and yes it did suck, but it was short and then I went back to sleep).

We enjoy Blue Bayou for dinner, but if you just have one day I don't think I would spend much time with ADRs - too much time out of the day. Instead, I'd plan on quick service since it's more flexible and allows you to eat when and where you want (or eat while walking if you're like me and just want to get to the next ride).

Oga’s would be the only one I would suggest in your situation. Reservations will disappear almost immediately. I would recommend using the Disneyland App on your phone. Two phones can also be useful if you have access to multiple accounts.

As someone else stated, with only one day, I’d do quick service for meals. If you want a view, grab something and take it to Pelican’s Landing. Soup in a bread bowl, Bengal BBQ, Fried chicken from Plaza Inn are some go to’s.

If you really want table service, after you snag Oga’s, you can shoot for Cafe Orleans or River Belle. I prefer Cafe Orleans.

edit: use mobile ordering for quick service.

Hungry Bear’s is another QS option that is just off the main walk to SWGE. Great views of the river and train. Agree TS would be Cafe Orleans, but those go quickly too. Prioritize Oga’s and then see if you can get CO. You can secure this and always cancel (24 hrs) if you decide TS is too time consuming.

I second Cafe Orleans as an option. You can set an alert for Oga’s, but with a party of 2 you should be able to join the walk up wait list with ease should you not score a reservation. And people cancel all the time.

Thanks all - I sooo appreciate the restaurant planning suggestions. I can see us just ordering for walkup, but wanted those "special" dining options in case we feel more like sitting than strolling... I love that the Disney magic works even when not on a ride :)
